Back from "no-computer land!"
MK, I'm so happy that it was just a "techno" problem! I guess I missed that. I was having keyboarding problems. It wouldn't let me type double letters (ee, kk, bb, etc) unless if one fingered it and reallllllyyyyy sllllloooow! Messed around with everything I could think of. Not sure which one worked but something did. . . . checked cords, shook crud out of keyboard (sunflower seeds, sat, cracker crumbs. . . ), finally shut it down and left it alone to sulk for a few hours. . . and major moment it now works again.
Gotta run. So glad you're back! KK

Aloha Karen.....Thanks for the e-mail, and it sounds like you were going through some frustration yourself with computers. Mine was just slow, slow....and even after having it worked on, it was bad. I finally went to Mac Store and they gave me a reconditioned one, two years old, and I traded in my old one so that I ended up paying very little for a nifty Mac which probably cost $2000 new. I'm back in business!
I hope your move into your new home is joyous. I would so love the prospect of decorating and playing with a new home. Have fun!

Hi Karen,
I always enjoy reading your post and hope one day to visit your beautiful state. I am certianly glad to see you up and online again as I was wondering if everything was alright your way.
Although I am fairly new to the site I feel so welcome. I am from a large family and we have lots of extended family but only my OFF family understands what a struggle this journey can be. Thanks for always being there for those of us who need you.

Aloha Vera......thank you for your comments. I am happy for you as you join this little family of strength!! This is the place to be when you feel you need understanding and somewhere to share things not understood by family/friends who don't know what WLS is really all about.
You will be a great success!!

I've missed your posts Karen! I love to hear your descriptions of the day - I feel like I'm there in Maui with you, sitting on the balcony.
Life is so precious and so fleeting, I agree. Each day is a gift and it serves us well to remember that and assure that we embrace each minute and each person that we love.

Aloha Evelyn...I'm always so glad to see you post. Our journeys have been very similar .... only 3 months apart, and we have both lost more than we intended. I, too, can eat anything and everything, and in my case I feel like I need to eat often because if I don't I keep on losing, so I've gotten into a habit of having munchies with me always....protein bars, dried apricots, small packages of nuts, soy crisps, etc. I sometimes wonder if I'm not absorbing enough but my blood tests are always good, so I guess all if OK.
Thanks for sharing your life with all of us....you are such a bonus for the OFF.
