Back from "no-computer land!"

Aloha my dear OFF family.....

Well, I sit here in the dark with such mixed feelings. I was SO HAPPY to finally have a computer after days of problems, and finally a new computer, and wanted to come in and send some sunshine and thankfulness to all of you this morning. As I happily opened the OFF, my eye**** on dear Aime's news and, of course, the joy evaporated. Then, I am reminded how very like a "real" family we are in here.......we have all the ingredients.........sharing, bickering, laughter, successes, failures, challenges.....and we have GRIEF! The loss felt by anyone here is a loss on some level for all of us. I think it reminds us that we are all in the same boat.......and life is precious and should be shared and cherished.

My story of how is lost my computer and got a "deal" on a new one seems trivial at the moment, so I'm not going to share. Let me just say that I have missed you all, and am so glad to be back. I have missed a lot....and probably will have to be a bit in the dark for awhile, but I am here "dancing as fast as I can."

Dawn is beginning to break over the ocean....and that gives me hope and gratitude. I hope this day brings comfort to those who need it, hope to those who need it, money to those who need it, some laughter to all of us, and peace.

Aloha nui loa

I missed you....so glad you are back....no computer-land sucks....we have all become so dependent on it....it is our connection with the world...we cvan watch TV....but we can't express our feelings very easily....and share our feelings with those we love across our world.
Welcome back....Love, Marti

There you are!  I thought maybe I was just not seeing your posts lately 'cause I haven't been around as much either.  Karen, your post is so true, we are family here, through thick and thin.  One of my coworkers was complaining a great deal this morning about a rock hitting her windshield and cracking it.  A little later I went for a cup of coffee and she saw I was kind of down.  She asked what was going on and I told her my friend's DIL passed away.  Without going into too much detail, I told her how N left a young son...  She replied, "And here I was going on and on about a stupid windshield."  OK, enough rambling.  Welcome home dear sister.

Aloha sweet Debbie.....I, too, told a co-worker today about my OFF sister's loss, and we both felt the same way....it put our world's problems into perspective.....we had NONE when thinking of Aime's loss.

Sometimes we need to feel each other's pain to really appreciate our lives and how much we can give to each other to make it easier.

Aloha nui loa,

Karen,

Yup, it's truly a sad day for our dear sister Aime and her family today, but I am happy to see you back, you've been missed. . .

Hugs, Laureen
