I can't believe the HATE that shows up on some of those boards! OMG! People calling each other names and using such nasty language! Arguing about who's surgery is the best.

hey jean....i looked at the main board on OH and omg i can't believe how they are and can get away with it!! i never ever liked the main board and i always stayed on the state board and then i found OFF and i am here to stay!!!! no more fights and belittling each other here!!! ahhhh OFF is home sweet home!!!!!!

That main board can get pretty crazy at times. I rarely ever go there but when I do I am always glad to leave!! Too many rude and uncaring people. Most of the time their conversations aren't even WLS related.
Sorry they were so harsh with you. There is no reason for that kind of behavior. I am surprised that they are allowed to continue that way. I feel bad for the newbies that don't know where else to go. If that is what they think OH is about they are really missing out.

Jean, I, for one, don't go to the main board for the exact reason you said. I think that board should be monitored more closely. For new people just learning about WLS and looking for answers, it's enough to scare them away. That s the first board they go to. If I were OH, I would be embarassed over the way some of the members conduct themselves. It's a disgrace.

I spend some time on the main board, they can get rather nasty over there. I also spend a little time at the RNY board. Not so nasty there and I've picked up a few good ideas.
But this board is wonderful! I don't post often, but I read most everyday....you all are so caring, warm....more like an extended family.
So, this is me crawling out from under a rock, posting a little more...then we can all know each other better. This is where I need to be.
