IT'S TUESDAY!!!! - What's new with you?

Yesterday I watched the season premier of The Unit.  So, I am a little behind.  Decent show.  Somewhat unbelieveable at times, but after all, it's TV.

A little dissappointment yesterday.  Found out we will not be able to take our grandkids to the fair.  DIL felt that Eddie would feel school was not that good a thing if we took the other two and he couldn't go because of school.  I understand, but that doesn't mean I can't be disappointed.  But that means Mary and I get to enjoy it on our own.  Go home when we want.  If we want to stay until 8 or 9 PM we can.  Gonna take our time this year.

Eileen - sorry about your White Sox.  But at least they got this far.  Tampa Bay vs. Dodgers World Series???? (Or will Manny get to go back to Fenway - that would be funny)

Aracay -  Wish you could pack up some of that cold weather and send it down here.  We are going to the fair on Wednesday and it should be 85 degrees.

PatR  - Hope the return to work went ok.  Has your book club ever read anything by Mitch Albom.  Excellent, and normally short.  The Five People You Meet in Heaven was deep.  Of course, there was Tuesdays With Morrie - very touching.  And you can't forget For One More Day - a story that makes you think.

Annette - Hope you are doing better

Cheryl - Hope you are feeling better.  Good luck with your remodel.   I hope to build shelves in my walk in closet by the end of the month.  I want to fold my T-Shirt type shirts instead of hanging them up.  I must have 30 or so Rangers shirts. 

Judy - Tell Ric to get on this guy.  I know he is a friend, but he is keeping you off OFF. 

Cajun Angel - Fishing - yuck.  Sorry, but I can not handle it.  The last time I went was in 1972.  I went out at 4 AM with my cousin on the south shore of Long Island.  We were the only ones on the dock.  Come 8AM it was elbow to elbow.  So I dumped my bait in the water and left.

Marc -  Hope that knee is doing better.  If it hurts too much, maybe you can get someone to kick you in the other one so you can forget about that pain.

Laureen - Isn't Ramon a cool guy?  Did you get to meet Debra Flores too?  They are both active on the Texas Message Board.  If you have not (or anyone else has not) heard the story of Ramon, go to www.rydobesity.com.  (Ramon, Yvonne, and Debra).  Yvonne has been a friend of mine for six or seven years.  I did not know she had had WLS until just before my wife had hers two years ago.

Jean - What is a touch stone?

Good AM George.  I woke up early (even before alarm went off ).  I was having a horrible nightmare so guess that is a good thing!  (I was facing the death penalty for murder-was about to be hung...go figure)  I haven't had a bad dream in eons.  I hope this is just an isolated incident and not due to one of my meds (amytriptyline has that side effect). 

I think my job is going to get changed yet once again.  ::sigh::  I'm getting signals from the bosses.  I've been at my job for 11 years.  I know how they "work".  Sometimes I feel like the misfit...My ex once told me he didn't know "how to handle me" guess the bosses feel the same way.    If this is the case then I'll be learning yet another technology...geez my brain is going to blow a fuse! 

Anywho...my lovely butterflys are still here.  I've had up to 4 monarchs in the yard at one time.  I've lived here 3 years and looks like planting all those nectar plants is finally paying off.  Watching butterflies is my therapy.  During the winter months I do a little bird watching to tide me over 'till spring.

i'm up  i think....even with my cpap i don't feel like i had a good sleep- i slept 6 hours straight....ah well....
yesterday, rec'd CMA's in email from the realtor...very depressing!!!we do not want to GIVE the house away and i think it will sit on the market a long time with the current economy ...i feel that we should wait to list (economy and going into winter) but we need out....michael is knocking himself out with all of the projects he is accomplishing-painting fixing etc...now if i could just get the cleaning etc done.....ok-enuff whining! sorry!

Good Morning! Yes, I am still alive. I've been thinking about the Great Texas Slumber Party alot lately. I can't believe it was a year ago.
I have been so busy over the last month or so. N and the baby live here now. I have also been working 7 days a week. I must say I am exhausted. The next time they call me to teach a driver's ed class I am going to have to decline. I have 2 more weekends and then I am finished.
I love seeing Candy when she was here despite the downpour we were having. We had a nice time together for the short time we were able to spend with each other.
My new job is really getting busy. I now am supervising 11 people. This si so new to me. Still makes me nervous, but I think I am getting ahandle on it.
I have 2 special days coming up this week. My birthday is Friday. My rebirthday is Sunday. I can't belive it has been 2 years since I changed my life. I know I have put on a few pounds lately. I am working hard to grab the bull b the horns to reverse that upward swing.
I miss you all. I think of you each day. Smooches!!!

I am heading back to work, I could use another nap day, but too much waiting for me and don't want to be overwhelmed more than I will be already.
Nothing too exciting, have to go get some labs done and soon but the catch is no eating till they are done that morning. I get up so dang early that I will be passed out from hunger before I can eat! Forget sleeping in, my body just will not do that. So...gotta get up the gumption and just do it. Maybe tomorrow am. Might sneak a tiny bit of coffee a couple hours before just so I don't get a huge headache.

Tom and I will sit for dinner and watch the debates. He gets so worked up that he rubs my feet very vigorously...it is great!!!! He is like that even watching football, basketball and exciting movies. Very cute.

Well, off to the treadmill.

Hi All,
I'm up early too, but I'll go back to bed for an hour or so.I have a docyor's appt. today. I hurt my left arm in the shower about a month ago and thought the pain would finally go away but it has hung in there, so I'm going to my primary care doctor to let him have a look at it. I am also going to get my yearly prescriptions and ask for a bone density test. I thonk I should have had that done prior to WLS, but now is good too. On Sunday I had a WOW moment... at the Pumpkin Fair I said hi to a member of my Red Hat group (which had disbanded about a year ago). It was a small group (10 women and I was Vice Queen) so we knew each other pretty well. Anyway, this member said hi but clearly didn't know who I was. I told her and she absolutely couldn't believe it. She kept asking how... she was amazed. I was thrilled too, of course.
Tonight I have a concert and little birthday celebration with a TOPS friend. Tomorrow it's back to school as usual.
I'm going back to bed.... I'll check the thread later. Happy Tuesday.

well its a pretty cool morning here in ohio...brrrr but they are calling for rain later today..yuck!!! right now the sun is out and its pretty...hey!! just thought of this!! i have a lainie (sp) like karen does in hawaii!!! lol i can sit out there and watch the sun...also the storms when they come in too!!! but right now its cold so i can sit and watch from the love seat...woohooo love the big patio sliding door!!!!

well yesterday ricks leg is hurting him big time...came home to find him sleeping on the couch in pain...still hurting him today...wish his boss would give him his health insurance so he can get it taken care of!!!

still haven't heard from his buddy about my pc...GRRRRRR maybe i can have rick hook up my pc in here instead of his for right now but not sure it will work...he can't find my internet explorer...sighs...i think i found it last night but i am so computer stupid i am not sure if i did or not....

yesterday just after i got to work and gloria left i started cleaning up her mess that she always seems to leave for me...and this man comes walking up to me and introduces himself to me...OMG HE IS THE HEALTH INSPECTOR!!!!!!!!!!! i guess i had the look of fear in my face because he said its ok he doesn't bite...lol so anyhow he starts asking me questions about the pizza and i answer him...then my supervisor comes by and gets involved also...so to make a long story short....i passed with flying colors!!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!! after this inspector leaves my supervisor says to me...judy i am going to get you another star for your name badge!!!! WOW!!!!!! i now have 3 stars and he is happy with my work!!!! he comes back with another star and puts it on my badge and then shows me the report on how the food court is doing since i have been there...omg we are doing SO much better!!!! he said he is really impressed on how i keep things clean and doing the food displays and all...wow!!!! next month its raise time!!! can't wait for that!!!! also will start my health insurance!!!! yippeeeee!!!!!!!

wore my pedometer to work yesterday and here are the steps i had in just 4 hours....5476 steps!! can't wait to see how many i get when i work a full day!!! LOL

george the fair sounds good to me...wish i could go with you...lol i love going to fairs and seeing all the animals and rides and smells of the foods....wish i could send you some of this cool air we hate it big time...i miss summer already!!! i hate the short days too!!! seems like it comes faster every year!!

i see so many of us OFF'ers are sick right now...hope you all get better soon!!!! i hate being sick!!! i took to wearing my gloves when i am cleaning the food court so as not to touch any germs etc that the people leave behind....some are just plain pigs too!!!! never saw such a mess from some people!! wonder if that is how their house looks???

watched some of dancing with the stars last night...omg that cloris leachman is a hoot!!! lost her wig omg i about died lol!!!! she is trying so hard to dance...and she is old and doing pretty good...judges are so hard on her tho...not sure who else is dancing this year fell asleep watching it...sighs tonight is fringe...love that show!!!

got my laundry done yesterday...wow those machines are fast!!! but thats a good thing hate having to wait when its not in my own place...but it is right outside our door so its not to bad....just don't want others seeing my things ya know....lol

i need a haircut sooo bad and no money right now to get it taken care of!! have to take car over tomorrow to get part ordered that costs me $300.00 and then make appointment to get it fixed so i can pass the E check so i can get new plates and also my drivers license next month. rick is thinking of getting rid of his car he is fed up with it needing the battery charged and tire keeps going flat...also still need to get the snowblower and lawn mower out of the storage unit this week....anyone need these?? selling cheap....just have to come get them is all...lol

well better shut the trap now i rattled long enough here....hope everyone is feeling better and have a great day!!

Hello, everyone!

It is a cool and cloudy morning in Virginia, though they say we may see some sun a little later.

I ended up taking some pain medicine and pulling out the heating pad again last night.  This time it is for my left ankle/leg.  Several years ago (say15) I jumped off a porch because I was so happy and inlove and badly sprained this ankle.  Now every so often it acts up.  So I am going to be babying it today.

Have the dishwasher running but am not planning on doing too much today.  My sick leave will run out Sunday afternoon and I want to take advantage of the down time as much as I can.  My job is very stressful and being a Type A--I go from morning to night.  

With this new start, I have to find some time for me in there and it is going to be a challenge!
