Hello, George and everyone!

Had a tricky couple of hours last night, but thanks to many of you came through fine.

Went into the office to day to make a call, get a letter on letterhead and send a couple of emails.  Got out as quick as I could so I wouldn't get stuck there.

I got in a good walk this afternoon, the longest I have taken since before surgery.  I will follow this route for a while and then enlarge my territory again in a week or so.

It's good to read all of your posts and get to know you all.

Have a great day!

Sorry Connie!

I've had two naps today and still feel puny. Have to go back tomorrow or the sky will fall!

Take care,
Cheryl

Hi George and my OFF family:

It's nearly 3 p.m. and here I am bringing up the rear again.

I had hoped to be on earlier than this ... well, at least by noon. But I was still sitting in the ortho doc's office waiting for my 11:10 a.m. appointment with ortho doc No. 3. And kinda seething. Got in to the office after noon, got to see Dr. Golladay, ortho doc No. 3, shortly thereafter. He examined my knee, moved it all around, decided there were two things we could do: open it up and redo the knee replacement (which Dr. Malvitz, ortho doc no. 2 said I didn't need) or get a hinged brace. He said I probably tore or stretched a ligament when I fell in February (although when I had it checked after I fell, the PA said everything was fine ... all they checked, of course were X-rays which don't show ligaments) ... but the ligaments or tendons were probably loose to start with and never quite right. Sigh! I questioned why Malvitz said I don't need a revision and he said I did ... he said it's because everything is cemented in there well and it would take quite a bit of loosening and scraping to get it undone to redo it, and that would mean extra chance of complications.

So, I went with the brace for now. Not real happy with it. It's not real comfortable.  I did at least convince him to give me something for pain that I can take while I'm at work. He agreed, but not for a long-term dose. (which is fine). By the time I got out of the office and over to the pharmacy, it was 1:30 ... and my prescription wasn't ready. So I have to go back on the way into work. At least it's a generic, so it'll be cheap.

The Sox play later today ... if it's not raining in Chicago. I'll be at work, of course. Will have to DVR it. Had to set it manually because TBS isn't showing it on the schedule (only one at 7:30). And last night they said the game started at 5:30; the Sox say it starts at 5 eastern time.

Laureen, I'm glad the Dodgers are in it too ... they beat the Cubs! I had a feeling they would be tough anyway, because they've been hot lately.

Well, I need to make some phone calls. Have a good day.
