Good morning everyone, and a special hug for Janet--you are in my prayers!

I woke up hungry today for the first time since the procedure on Monday.  Could hardly wait for my 3 tbls soft scrambled egg and 1 tbls baby oatmeal, but boy did it taste good.  I made sure to eat slowly and chew (though it didn't need much chewing).

DH is going to "Old FArm Days" to help with a booth from our church today.  My daughter, Sarah is coming by this afternoon to clean a little here as she is having my Grand daughter's (Kaitlyn) surprise birthday party here tomorrow afternoon.

I am thinking I might drive for the 1st time today and get a couple of things I need including a birthday card and wrapping paper.  I am giving Kaitlyn some really nice pierced earrings and $20 to go towards her Brownie uniform.

It is beautiful day here in Virginia and I will be going out for a walk soon.  Wish you could all be here to join me!

blessings,

Jeane

Good Morning all, just a quick note before I run to my daughters to finish touching up the painting in the bedroom.  Tomorrow hubby & our "adopted" daughter #2 & her hubby are going to help put down the new sub-floor then the bedroom will be ready to put back together. Jen decided to hold off putting carpet down as she wants to do a wood floor and can;t afford it just down. so she will live with the plywood sub-floor and some runners for now.  Then we will help repaint the "old" master bedroom for the girls and finally Nana & Papa can get back to our not quite so frantic routine!  Can't wait.   I decided to go to Frankenmuth as I need some "me" time and to jump start my program and get back on track.  My weight has stayed the same(242) and holding... at least  no gain, but I know I am not getting the right nutrition in and that is very important.

Hope you are all fine( I haven't  had time to check the posts)

Thanks for all your warm wishes and prayer to my post last week. Hugs, Paulette

Good morning all! Or maybe I should say good afternoon. It is now after noon here as of about 15 minutes ago. How time flies!

Bill and I went to Goodwill this morning since it was half off day. Boy! Now I know why I have never gone before and I don't think I will be repeating that any time soon either. It started out good and by the time I left they were working really hard to get up people's behinds! You turn around and they were so close they would have had to surgically removed from your fanny.

I did get a winter coat for $6.50. It is nothing fancy but it beats what I have now which is nothing. It is dark green and really nice looking. I am not sure if it going to be warm enough for all winter tho because they are calling for bitter cold this year. Oh good~just what I don't want to hear. I got a dress. For some reason I liked it and thought that it would be good for church too. Nothing fancy but a nice looking dress. It cost me 2.50. Bill got a pair of dress pants too and those cost 2.50 also. We got a stainless steel flip lid garbage can for the kitchen still in the box for 6.00 and my neighbor (she is 90) has been needing a play pen for her great great granddaughter who is 1 and she watches. I got her one complete with the pad and all and it was just 5.00. Oh, I got a carry case for my laptop too for 2.00, I really didn't need it but it was nice and I have always hated the one that I have now. So all in all it was a profitable day but I am not going to be repeating it that is for sure. Those people are nuts with the half off days.

I had a good evening last night too. I got on freecycle and someone was giving away 2 infant car seats and she gave them to me for the grand baby. She had a vibrating bouncer and she gave that to me too. Then she had a Elmo walker with toys, lights and music and it wasn't used since her boy didn't like it and so she let me have it for 15.00. Everything is like new and she told me to let her know if I needed anything else for the baby and she would let me know if she had it or not. I am thinking about seeing if she has a pack and play. I really want one of those. They are so nice and it would be handy to have one of them here.

Nothing much is happening here today. I am just going to sit and relax I think for the rest of the day. I am going to have a busy day tomorrow with church and the next 3 weeks are going to be even more busy. The District Superintendent is coming to do communion for us tomorrow. That is a nice thing. She was going to do the service but she found out the bulletin and the lay speaker was lined up and so she said that she would just do communion.
I better get moving. I am getting tired and I am just going to sit and do nothing. I am so glad that Annette is doing well. I am sure she is tired and sore but her la la land drugs are going to help her. I am surprised that she is home but we all know her~just like the rest of us and stubborn as the day is long! Gotta love us stubborn old ladies and men.

I am sending lots of hugs and love to go with them. I am keeping everyone in my prayers today and special ones are going up for those in need of them. Have a wonderful day and remember you are blessed.

Hi Debbie and my OFF family:

Not much going on here. On the phone with my brother Gary; he learned yesterday that his AIG unit is being sold and so he is planning on what to do if his job is terminated. But I told him one of the possible suitors is Warren Buffett, so that's not too bad. But if another insurance company buys it, then he'll probably lose his job. But he has a plan at least; they've already announced a severance plan for everyone and he's making plans if he has to take it and get a new job.

The recliner broke again yesterday. I was so pissed. I sat down to have dinner and put up the footstool and it stuck again. So after dinner, I called the repairman and told him the problem. I said I don't have the money to have this fixed again. He said he thought this might happen because the rocker springs were bad. He said he would order the parts and hope it wouldn't take as long and fix it for free. I'm about ready to buy a new chair, if I had the money. Maybe when I get my income tax refund next year.

Well, the White Sox aren't doing so well in the playoffs ... lost again last night. Not really surprised, but they could have won that game; they had 12 hits and left 12 runners on base. Now they come back to Chicago so maybe they'll do better at home. They don't play well on the road or in dome stadiums.

I hope to make apple bread/muffins. But the muffin recipe I wanted to make calls for sour cream, and I don't have any in the house. I will have to wait to make that. Maybe I'll get the sour cream Monday after my appointment with ortho doc No. 3. I'll make the apple bread recipe today or tomorrow and bring some to Frankenmuth.

Janet, sorry you're not feeling well. Hope some of your problems clear up. It's a ***** with all these woes, I know. Sometimes I hate all these little itchies ... I have similar problems on my scalp that drive me crazy at times (not quite the same as yours, but I get some sebaceous cysts, etc.)

Well, I should get off the phone and empty the washer and put some more in. Have a good day.
