Good Morning Debbie & My OFF Family!
Hope you accomplish what needs doing and like you said, at least you can use it now!
Well I'm up early to get ready for an OH Event being held in Conshohocken, PA today, meeting up with a bunch of friends I've made in my area at my support groups and heading there for a day of good stuff I'm sure, then tonight I will attend my AA meeting and probably get to bed early.
Yesterday was a very busy day, went to my personal trainer appointment, then shopped for vacuum cleaner bags and headed home to work on my yard and home. . . spent over 3 hours doing yardwork, the grass in my backyard was ankle, maybe more high, with little rain, it didn't grow forever and suddenly in the last 2 weeks it grew and grew and well I just hadn't time to cut it, well made up for it yesterday and then did some raking of the front lawn and sweeping the sidewalk, etc., all good exercise and I was very happy this morning as my weight has been dropping steadily since I added days to my exercise routine and all, I am almost out of the 170s, which I have been in for months now, very happy with that, but I am actually seeing a thinner me when I look in the mirror these days and find it feels good.
Hope we get word on Annette and that all went well with her procedure yesterday and that it is the last such thing she has to undergo. . .
Prayers and positive thoughts to each of you,
Hugs, Laureen

Good morning, Off Sistahs,
Looks like everyone is up and right with the world this morning. Someone let us know about Annette...... AND Dorothy Nitti....... our folks need our prayers for sure.
Speaking of....I could use a few......rarely do I ask.... but I'm getting a little concerned right now even though I'm laughing through it.....
I can't remember what I started out with.... oh....shingles in my head.... and then never having had dandruff....I've got a skin 'condition'..... cradlecap.... and my belly button gets a rash and now I've got a rash the size of a dessert plate on my panni on the side..... doctor put me to bed for 3 days for exhaustion and I was running a fever so then ........a major UTI I just found out yesterday because I had labs run....after I was at the opthamologist because my eyes have become so sensitive to light.....and blood red....and itch...only to find that I have to have the flaps raised from my lasik surgery years ago and remove tissue....and that the skin condition is also affecting the hairy places on my eyelids and bottoms of my eyes....and the allergies don't help...but now he wants me to see a cornea specialist..... I'm getting behind at work but the computer screen hurts my eyes, still working 10-12 hr days and driving 75 miles daily.... and I've put in for my leave for my LBL but honestly will be surprised if my labs come back good enough for me to have it... I can barely keep me under 160 and I know that I'm not eating right and not getting my protein or my water...in fact, probably no water but other liquids.... I forget....
So that's the only drama I have in my life..... sorry it's not that interesting...but some have asked why I've not been posting much..... Girls, life just gets in the way..... and I don't share much..... as I keep everything in compartments....
Let's see.... son has a date..... brother having surgery Monday..... granddaughter is having b/d this month.....I've got tickets for King Tut.....and Neil Diamond this month....... both given to me and it just pains me to think about the energy expended to go.....oh...and I left work yesterday early to go with girls from office to see "Nights in Rodanthe"..... I guess it was okay....I wouldn't pay for the DVD rental...but I would watch Bridges of Madison County again...:) Going to $4 this morning as it's the ritual....then promising to send the Mystery Box #2 out to Linda Barnett today....put the drops in my eyes..... load the dishwasher.... work on my house.....
Aren'tcha as glad you aren't walking in my moccasins as much as I'm not glad I'm walking in yours? We all wear our own moccasins well......
I'd be a wreck if I had adoption pooches..... or my new house was about done and I had to move again.....or if I had a 'man' in my life to worry about..... or if I was on the street selling real estate again....or if ...or if....or if....or if.... or if........ so I'll just scratch my scaley head and ass, blink so someone will think I'm winking at them, pretend I had a 'late night out' with my red eyes, hold my nose when I tinkle and worry about things tomorrow.
And that, my fellow and beloved Sistahs, is the the rest of the story....:)
Have a wonderful weekend.... and know that it's State Fair Time in Dallas... it's been a year since the Slumber Party and I would love to see you all again..... and more next time.... and there WILL be a next time... I've already decided.
Janet

Morning fella OFFers...
I'm up early as I am attending a Lutheran Women's rally at my church...there should be a good attendance from
the churches in this district. Tomorrow is LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League) Sunday, and we are helping with the service.....I am a greeter at the 8 a.m. service and also lector reading the Old Testament and Epistle...(pastor always reads the Gospel). Tomorrow evening is our monthly Book Club and I haven't quite finished reading the book yet (We're reading "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn". Tried to get the DVD from Netflix
yesterday and they put it in my save file.....since it came out in the 1940's it may not be available on DVD...however they didn't say it wasn't available.....so I'm hoping.
Got my hair cut yesterday....was trying to let it grow long, but just couldn't stand it anymore, so she whacked it off.
Everyone says it looks nice.
Well, I'm off to eat my breakfast and get ready to go to the Rally which starts at 8:30....
Hope we hear from Annette's Tom soon......and praying
everything went well. Also sending prayers for Dorothy Nitti and Janet in Texas.
Hugs,
Pat R.

Done! Your Ticker:
I am so glad I read your post. I was gonna go to church tonight instead of in the morning. I forgot is was LWML Sunday. I have to take goodies to church tomorrow too..........which means I will stop at a bakery and buy something in the morning. I hate baking and I know I would be tempted to lick the bowl and spoon and taste the batter.

Oh dear Janet, it sounds like you feel like I do at times~like you are going to h3ll in a hand basket. I have found that old age is definitely not for wimps but then we are strong women and can do anything that we set out minds to. Just set your mind to getting better and put one foot in front of the other and before you know it you will be there. I am keeping you in special prayers dear sister. I think that you are dearly in need of them big time! I am sending love and hugs to you. Keep your chin up. It is kind of like I think when things are terrible~when you are at the bottom of the barrel there is only way to go and that is up!
HI All,
So sorry to hear of your multiple medical issues Janet. Enough is enough, huh? I'm up to prepare for our ultimate, last, one day garage sale but there is a little snag. California, land of the sun, is being flooded by the first rain of the season. My garage sale will most likely be a bust. I'm not going to be able to put much on the driveway at all- the freezer will be ok, but I have area rugs, bedspreads, sheets, towels, window coverings.... Oh well. Best laid plans. Other than that we have our contractor coming to put in our new bathroom sinks. The granite is in and very beautiful. Later I need to pay the bills online. Since we are looking to buy a condo for our daughter I need to make SURE that no bill payments go in a day late- that will affect your FICO score and credit for home loans is tight now I'm sure. I went to the big Pumpkin Maze/Petting Zoo/Haunted House yesterday with our handicapped school kids. It's a huge event held every year for all of the handicapped children and adults in our county. It was fun and tiring. Since I've been doing this job for 30 years, I see adults that were my students when I started. Some remember me, some don't. I also see staff that I don't see often, but love to see once in a while. Everywhere I turned there would be someone to greet and hug.
I hope you all enjoy your Saturday!
Julia
