Cool whip is okay, right?  I just started putting some on my s/f pudding and s/f jello.  My husband gives me the evil eye every time he thinks I shouldn't be eating something.  It's only been a week since my surgery but so far everything is going down good and staying down.

I couldn't eat the pudding until week 2, but I added a dollop of the sugar free, fat free, free free cool whip to my pudding and I had no trouble either, tho I felt guilty wondering if it was ok to eat it, so I stopped after doing it twice.   But that's me...i am such a goodie two shoes, I don't want to step too far outside the box.  I think if you are tolerating it and not using too much  it should be ok.  I'm a newbie too, so don't go by me tho! hahaha!

Look at the Nutrition info on the cool whip...I have used it from the beginning of time...it really have nothing in it.....I use it in my shakes, etc.....

Thanks,

I use the sugar free cool whip all the time. In fact the recipe that I gave for the Mouthwatering Monday is made with the sf stuff. So everything in that recipe is totally sf. The only thing in it that has calories is the crackers.

I used to use FF cool whip but I gave it up post surgery for two reasons.  We banished all products with trans fat from our house and the air contained in cool whip tends to be too filling for someone with a lap band.

Thanks everyone for all the great responses!  I did notice that it seemed to fill me up.  So I am still using the sugar free cool whip but just a dollup... trying to not overdo it.  I forgot myself the other night and after I ate my dinner decided to have some pudding for dessert with some s/f cool whip and I could barely eat any of it and felt so stuffed!   I gotta keep working on remembering portion size.
