I am so full!  I bet I actually ate about 1/4 cup.   Took me 25 minutes to lick each bite off the little spoon.  I haven't had Cream of Wheat since I was a kid...I remembered I used to love it, and I still do!  I added a little of that I can't Believe it's not Butter spray and 1/2 packet of Splenda.  My day has started off on the right foot.

Funny, how moving into foods so slowly makes you appreciate and savor every bite.

It is so weird how foods affect us all so differently.  Up til this point, I have never had trouble eating anything - hence my need for surgery! hahaha!  But seriously, I can eat anything and my husband constantly gets sick on the exact same food at the same meal!  Too strange.  Hopefully, my tummy will still continue to tolerate most things.  I guess I'll find out as I go along.

Yes, it IS so great to enjoy food now instead of inhaling it!

Ohhh     LUV  the cream of wheat.   I have been buying the wholegrain type.  I love to add cinnamon to it and sometimes us soy milk instead of regular milk...

So glad you are doing well.  Your new life has just begun.....  ENJOY   ENJOY   ENJOY

I had 3 tablespoons of small curd low fat cottage cheese, and 1 table spoon of baby food pears for lunch, and it wasn't bad at all.  I chewed chewed chewed and so far so good!

Baby steps, but that's how we make progress.  My doc seems to be very conservative on his process of allowing foood back into the diet.  I will see him on Thurs, and I am looking forward to that. I also see my nutritionist on Tues, so hopefully, I will be allowed to puree some apples I bought last wkend at the orchard.  It's just nice having some variety again.  I was on a modified liquid protein diet for 2 weeks before surgery, and then liquids all day the day before, plus clear liquids the first week.  I was able to add the cottage cheese last week, but this week is a whole new experience!  I'm a happy camper now.

the simple joys of life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
