LOL Debbie! Someone said that the Pillsbury dough boy was way too happy for someone with any..errr..genitals (sp).
TheBeef is lean and real, the potatoes are about a 6th of a cup, and the string beans and carrots rock. I take my time eating it, as it is savory and I am careful not to rush my meal because I am at work.

Today is payday for me too.....woooohoooooo!!!
It is so cold here...43 degrees with a high of 54...ugh...I am so not ready for this!!!! I need to get out and by a winter coat this weekend!! I will try to call later...hope I don't wake you up!!

Brrrrr it has been cold to me. I finally decided the heater needs to be on. When I get cold it goes straight to the bones. I've never felt cold like I have since surgery. I look for long sleeve tops to wear now. Before it was short sleeve or sleeveless even in the winter. Sigh, but, I'm so glad to have surgery it is just one of the many changes I need to make.

B: cottage cheese w/ fruit L: chili w/ cheese & onion D: cod & shrimp with veggies S: shake

B- 1 oz turkey, 1.3 cup egg beaters, hollandaise sauce & slice of tomato
S-Protein Drink
L- same as breakfast( Good Egg leftovers)
S- Protein Drink
D- clueless, going to my husbands church dinner tonight so I will make healthy choices.
That's my menu and I'm stickin' to it!

Hi Linda. I haven't talked to you directly I don't believe but I had to let you know the peace that came over me when I read about the 'body in the buff' statement. I get so carried away with the distaste I have for my body. It was like having someone tell me it is OK to accept your body even now at this time. I had surgery back in 2002 and it worked to a point, now I am hoping to have revision surgery and can't wait. Anyway, thank you. Carolyn

Linda and Connie - If I thought it would help, I'd sing you a lullabye but sadly that would only give you nightmares as I can't carry a tune in a bucket! lol I do hope that both of you can get some well deserved rest soon.
Well, I went for my one month post op checkup today. Had blood drawn. The biggest news is that my BMI is now below 40! WHOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Albeit slow, I have lost 26 lbs. I have GOT to get my measurements and start tracking inches lost too. I wore an outfit to work today that I've not been able to wear in over a year. As a matter of fact, a couple of people told me it looked baggy on me. OMG! My dr cleared me for all exercises. He LOVES pushups and wants me to continue with my wall pushups with several variations on my hand placements. Before I go back in 2 months he wants me to move to a lower angle - use a counter or kitchen table to do the pushups instead of the wall. He also told me to get some Benefiber/Metamucil/etc for my plumbing problem.

L - (forgot to eat)
D - small chili from Wendy's
S - 4 oz protein shake

This has been my first pureed day. So I have had new things like:
Breakfast:
3 tablespoons of cr of wheat with 2 tablespoons of skim milk.
Lunch:
2 tablespoons lf small curd cottage cheese with 1 tablespoon baby pears.
supper:
2 tablespoons baby pureed turkey and 2 tablespoons baby pureed carrots.
I have 3 protein shakes and many beverages interspersed between all of these.
It's amazing!!!
