Do you have any pets?
Here are mine. The one on the left is Creena; she is the one keeping me up at night. The German shepherd on the right is Derwood Kirby, and he does look like Derwood Kirby!!
I adopted Derwood last May from Amsterdam NY. He had been living with an old man who died. A neighbour posted a picture and information on a G. shepherd site, and I decided to take a chance. He was extremely fearful when he came, but I'm patient with him and he has certainly come along. He and Creena are best buds and play all the time whether they are inside or out. What a pair. Creena, who is half Derwood's size, is the boss of the two.
I don't know what I'd do without my "guys". Margaret
I do horse and dog rescue so sometimes I can't count when asked this question.

I have three cats: Scooter is the oldest, he's 13, a Russian Blue, green-eyed cat who is very shy and skittish but a real lover around me. I got him from the apartment complex owner where I used to live in Grand Rapids. Scooter couldn't get along with is siblings and was living in the office instead. When my other cat, Kittle, died, I said I was going to adopt a new cat to keep Cinnamon, Kittle's brother, company. The office manager asked if I would like Scooter, because Scooter liked me (and Scooter didn't like anyone). I think Kittle sent Scooter to me and Cinnamon.
About a year after that, Cinnamon got sick and I had to put him to sleep ... Scooter helped me a lot through that, gave me a lot of love and comfort. Then I adopted the girls, Diva and Nettie. Nettie is now 12.She's a long-haired orange and white cat. I got her and Diva from my cat sitter who runs a cat rescue called Reuben's Room. Nettie was found with other kittens in a grocery bag in a garbage can. She's a real sweetie and purrs whenever she sees me.
Diva is 7 and an Abysinnian, her color is ruddy (I think I still have photos of the cats on my profile). She really is a diva too. She is a real flirt; whenever a repairman comes over, she thinks she has to flirt with the men (when the chair repairman was over, she was rubbing up against him and purring). When I was considering her, she was very shy at first, hiding in her cat carrier. Then the second night I had her over, she opened up all the cabinet doors in the kitchen, jumped on the counter, over to the dining room table, then to my lap and started purring, as if to say, "Well, inspection over, I think I like it here." She likes to snuggle under the covers with me in the winter.
