surgery may be postponed

The surgeon's office just called with a request to go for more bloodwork. My potassium levels were elevated. They asked if I have been eating many bananas - nope, none at all.

The test may have been off, but it is wait and see at this point. If the levels are still high, surgery will be cancelled.

I made the mistake of looking up elevated potassium levels on the computer. Shouldn't have done that!!! Scared the britches off myself. Such pretty red ones too.

As soon as I hear a report, I'll let you know.

Thank you Connie,
What would we do without each other? Just cross the fingers and toes. You need your eyes for all your paperwork.

OH  NO     Sorry to hear about the delay.  The upside is you will be healthier once the potassium levels are correct and surgery will be easier.  Isn't it nice that these tests can tell so much about our bodies and what is going on with them.  I'm so thankful for modern medicine..

You are in my thoughts and prayers.  I do hope your blood work turns out to be correct.   Millie

Thank you Millie,

I am glad they run tests before surgery. Better to be delayed than have a nasty surprise.

Aloha Annette......I am so sorry to hear about your situation with the potassium and surgery. However, maybe getting your potassium levels back to normal might be a silver lining to a cloud you didn't even know you had a problem with!

Feel the love coming to you from your little OFF family.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
