What's new Thursday?
I'm home today- we have countertops being installed in the bathrooms later today and I need to be here to "supervise". I'm cleaning and washing and readying for our final, ultimate garage sale on Saturday. After the kitchen is done and the building materials and cabinets are out (kitchen renovation starting early November) we should be able to park BOTH cars in there! Tomorrow I'm accompanying our three SDC classes to a big Pumpkin Farm/ corn maze extravaganza. That will be so much fun, not like working at all! I'm looking forward to climbing into the hayride wagon with ease! What a difference one year can make! Best wishes to all of you that are struggling with surgeries and family events. Even though I don't post often you are in my thoughts.

Good Afternoon Margaret and Friends,
I haven't been around much of late. No real excuse. Just busy and kind of in a bit of a funk. I tend to withdraw when I feel like that. We're in the last couple of weeks of our new home construction and I'm so tired of it all. I know it will be worth it, but I am ready now!
We have a 2 bedroom rented apartment and 3 storage units to empty out before the end of the month. I leave on October 29th for 10 days to San Diego and the Mexican Riviera Cruise. . . .We SHOULD have been in the house by now, but it's kind of like waiting for water to boil.
Now that they are ready to paint the outside of the house we are supposed to have wind and rain the next 4-5 days. It has been absolutely beautiful for weeks, but no, couldn't be ready to do it then! That would have made too much sense and have been too easy.
Like getting ready for weight loss surgery, this has been another lesson in patience.
I'm headed out to babysit my friend's grand daughter for a few hours. I call Emma, age 3, my "practice" grandbaby! We've watched her grow from day one and she was my "grand" before I had any! She is so much fun. She just loves Mike and I and expects us to come to her Easter egg hunt, lunch, play, you name it. I've got "new to us" books that I picked up at the thrift store. She absolutely loves being read to so I'm looking forward to something to focus on besides what isn't getting done at the house.
Oh,. . . does anyone know anything about heated towel racks? We'd like to get one for the master bath as that is also how we will be accessing our hot tub. They vary in price from $50.00 to thousands. . . . Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated. I won't be paying a bundle. I'll heat rocks first!!
You all take care,
Karen C
