Thank you Pat,
I have to keep reminding myself of those words.

When I had the BIG surgery two years ago, I was not in good physical shape. Even so, I sailed on through, was up and walking fast. No need to think that this time I won't wow the doctor and nurses with a speedy recovery.

Kisses

Hiya My Big Sis!

I am glad to see the kind of care you are getting pre-op, hoping the surgery is the last you need and thanks for the response to my PM yesterday, I appreciate the help and input and will contact the person you mentioned.

Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts dear Nettie!  Love, L

Annette, I'm so glad they are taking good care of you, giving you a warmed robe. I don't know of any place around here that does that. I'm usually so cold when I go in those places. We're all thinking of you as you head into this surgery.

Eileen,

The robe was cosy, warm and fluffy. The hospital staff might need to have the rooms cooler, but when we are in bed, wearing those drafty gowns ... it is cold. I'm taking along my slippers which go into the microwave for one minute and stay warm for a couple of hours.

Morning dear friends,

Eileen, I thought I heard a whoot whoot last night just as I was getting to sleep!  Must have been those Sox!!!

George, you're a special person for going so far to say good bye to someone you've never met. It's nice to know the special connection we have between all of us here on OH. Drive safely.

Annette, I'm so very glad they're taking such good care of you. Me thinks they better or there will be a WHOLE  bunch of over 50 people decending on them! Take care my friend. Special hugs and prayers to ya.

Margo, I haven't kept up as well as I should be, but it sounds like you're going through a very emotional time and I hope you are okay. Know I'm here, and if you need my phone # for someone to chat with, just PM me.

Okay, here's my big news:   my son got the job with Blue Cross of AR!!!!
It's in customer service and starts at over $27K a year....more than his dad makes as a probation officer for the State!  Great benefits, tuition reimbursement and steady hours.  This will be so good for him in so many ways. I'm grateful for all the prayers that went out for him....we're a powerful bunch, aren't we?

Busy weekend coming up. Work, of course on Saturday, then symphony tickets that night. We're seeing Cirque de Symphonie, a verson of the Cirquie du Soli that plays all over. Should be very nice, and since the kids are going with and we have reason to celebrate, even more special. Then on Sunday Tess and I are going to Hot Springs to a huge craft and Autumn festival.  Can't talk the guys into going with.....hmmmm what's up with that???  Anyway, the weather is supposed to be wonderful and I know we'll have fun together.

Well, better go check in on the AR board and see what everyone ate yesterday. Gotta keep an eye on those folks or they go out and eat chicken fried steak when I'm no****ching. The NERVE!!!

Hugs to all!

Susan

Thanks Susan,

The festival sounds like so much fun. More fun to leave the men at home though.

Chicken fried steak - oh drool! It would probably kill me but what a way to go!!!

Susan, glad to hear your son got the job. That's great news. The craft fair and autumn festival sounds fun. I used to love to do those things when I had money and could walk better. (when I was younger).

Good morning, Eileen and all my OFF family. It is so nice to be able to come here in the morning with my bottle of water and enjoy our time together.

Eileen, last night with the Sox win it was the sound that was heard around the world. I just wanted to cry I was so happy. I missed the game but got caught up on the news at 10. I just know that we are going all the way again this year. I want that so bad.

Today is a day at home. At least that is what I am planning. I do have some things here to finish up for the church. I have to get my lay speaker form finished and in the mail and then I need to do the Pastor's compensation form too. I have to do 2 of them this year. I hate doing one let alone two of them. One for Britt and one for the new one.

I would like to get some of the papers filed today. I am not sure why I keep putting off things that are so easy, like putting things in the filing cabinet. To me that is nothing but I just hate to do that. It makes no sense to me but I guess such is life.

I got Bill off to work this morning and Misty was laying on the dining room table but I am not seeing her anywhere now. She probably went back to bed. The lazy little thing. Last night we were sitting here in the living room and Misty was sitting looking out over her back forty and all of a sudden she starting hissing and jumping at the window. Here her little friend from down the walk was here to see her. For some reason she has gotten to hissing him when he comes to see her. They use to sit and talk to each other but now she just jumps at him and hisses. Not sure what got into her but she has become a little unsocial when she has friends over. Now she has popped back out here among the living and is checking out the back yard again. She just comes and goes. ha ha

I guess I should get outta here. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone. Special ones for those in need of them. Remember to have a great day and smile on your face and a song in your heart.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Brenda:

I can always tell when the temperature goes down ... I have all three cats in bed with me. And there they were this morning, Scooter next to me, Nettie next to him and Diva under the covers. So fall is here and it's much cooler. They don't sit by the door much like my other cats did ... they're not much interested in the wildlife outside although they did find all the geese on the golf course interesting last Sunday (there were a lot of them).
