What's New Wednesday?

Ha! I beat all the Texans on the board today!

I just got done watching the White Sox beat the Twins 1-0 to win the AL Central championship. Yeay!My metro editor, who sometimes annoys me, called me at the end of the game ... I said, did you hear me yelling all the way out in the township (he lives out near me too)? Wish the Sox would have gotten a few more runs, but I'm just happy they won after all that, considering they blew a lead in the final week and then played lousy the last weekend. But what counts is they survived to play in the postseason.

An up and down day. The up: I finally got my recliner fixed. The down: It cost $128. Yikes! Much more than I had expected. I guess it's still less than buying a new chair, but still ... the parts were free because it's a LaZBoy, but because this guy does repairs on site, it costs more. But how else would I get it done? I sure couldn't lift the thing and put it it my Honda Accord.

Another up: Got my check for the work in the movie. The down: It was only $59, not the $500 something I had hoped for ... obviously, my friend in Baltimore gets paid by better movie companies (she told me she gets $65 an hour for being a movie extra). Oh well ... I got $8 an hour for sitting around all night. I had hoped to use that money for Frankenmuth, but this won't pay for much. Don't know how I'm going to afford it now. I guess I have to figure out something else.

The up: The Sox won. The down: Haven't figured out a down there yet. Don't know if they can go very far this time. They don't have the pitching and their hitters don't produce like they did in 2005 when they won the World Series (they know only one way to score -- hit the ball out). But it's nice to be back in the playoffs.

Well, what's new with you? I'll check back later in the day.

HI everyone!

What a busy day today...had a lunch meeting with a prospective client then drove into the big city to present  our FEEL GOOD kits to the Executive Director at the new Hospice centre and then stopped off a ways down the road and stopped  (just thought Id have a wee peek...(hoping for a chocolate brown silk top with sleeves...all I have is a sleeveless one that shows my batwings)...at The Rubenesque Woman...a re-sale plce for bigger sizes..an upscale place.

I found a pink suede blazer that fit me perfectly....cute 3/4 sleeves and fitted waist that shows off my hourglass figure...LOL.   I HAD to have it, of course...got it for $25.00..maybe 1/4 of its original price.  I also bought a dark red woolen shawl..all ruffled..really cute for $25.00 (I can wear that with my long black skirt and black top..or a navy set)..

Then I went next door to the Dutch Import Store to get Dutch cheeses and meats and JBs favourite raisin buns.  From there I drove all the way accross the city to foind the Early Learning Centre..I found the address but silly me..I didnt realize the Centre was INSIDE the school there..DUH!  By the time that I doscovered that, the Centre was closed.  I needed to present the FEEL GOOD kits to them on self-esteem and on ADD & ADHD kids issues.  So now I have to drive all the way back again..maybe tomorrow.

I headed homeward and stopped to buy apples.  I got half a bushel of Yellow Delious apples for ten dollars and made a new friend...lol..an old Dutchman who lives around the country corner from us.  I bought walnuts and garlic from him too.

I got home and JB was finishing off the roof ..the gable ends and Derek had just come home from a chauffeuring job to Buffalo so I went upstaors to change and lay down on the ebd for ten minutes and woke up two hours later.  Needless to say, it was then too late to cook the pork roast Id set out to thaw so luckily I had a huge pot of chicken broth and a cooked chicken and made gravy and hot chicken sandwishes and tossed salads for the guys.  I finished my last bit of homemade high protein, high fibre soup instead.

I did a  bit of artwork too and made some more mandalas.  Im already getting orders for Stress-Release Colouring Books for Adults and today got an order for a special custom poster for a friend who wants to create a          MEDITATION CORNER in her newly-decorated home!

Im creating a Stress-Release Workshop using mandalas and Art Therapy.  I hope to announce the dates soon.

Id better get my buns to bed because I have a morning business meeting with another prospective client.

A quick drive-by before I hit the road for my 3 hour trip to Abilene for the memorial service for Red.

Brenda - did you get your oil changed?

Margo and Eileen - Hope you are both feeling better.

Cajun Angel - Hope the extra meds got out of your system with no further incidents.

I might be interested in the Adult Colouring book.  Mary loves to color.

Gotta go.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

George, you and everyone should be pleased with me! I got the blasted oil changed and now Bill is happy. Of course we went to the dealer after Bill got home and before dinner. They put the blasted thing right in. Seems kind of strange to me. Bill drove in and I told him he shouldn't do that. He mentioned it to the guys and they told me that he has me on that one~he was right. I laughed and told them I should have known that all you men stick together. They all got a good laugh out of that one.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
