minor set back (I hope)

Yesterday I had to go back to my cardiologist for my stress test results.  Well they want me to have a heart cath to check on an abnormality near the bottom of the heart.  I have that test tomorrow.  I sure hope this is nothing and will not delay my surgery on Oct. 8th. I am glad they are trying to correct all the problems but bummed out that it will hinder my surgery date.

Cheryl, it is best that whatever the problem, they fix it now. I see they wasted no time scheduling the cath, good. If you didn't have this taken care of you may have had some problems during surgery...so you are doing exactly the right thing. You are approved for you wls so even if that is delayed alittle you'll be much healthier during and after.

I had a stress test three years ago. The bottom of my heart showed I had had a heart attack. The picture showed the doctor some abnormality at the bottom. I was sent off to a heart doctor post haste. They said that because of my fat the machine was at fault. It showed damage to the bottom but in reality it-(the machine) distorted the picture because of all the fat it goes through to take the picture. So there was nothing wrong with my heart. That could be what happened to you too. So don't worry until you have the heart cath. It could be what happened to me is happening to you. I have a feeling they will find out everything is okay. Yep- it happened to me too. They said my breast fat distorted the persantine test, but they had to be sure it wasn't a heart problem. Weight loss surgery went on as scheduled. Good luck!

Cheryl, I am keeping you in special prayers while you are going through this period of testing. I know that it seems like a monkey wrench has been thrown in it is best to get it all taken care of now. I had to have a cath too (but then with the heart problem that is nothing new) because they found something on the stress test that might be something. My cardiologist didn't think it was anything but he had to check. He found nothing like he thought he would. God will take care of it, just let Him take control. Don't worry Cheryl... Your doctors are just being really careful for you.  Even if your date gets moved slightly it is all in  your best interest.  Please let us know what happens.
