Hi, Its Monday September 29th!!!!!
Good morning Carla, Happy New Year! Good morning to everyone!
Not much going on here, tho I think the sky is finally supposed to clear. Yesterday Glenn, Sam and I made it to the apple orchard. It was so fun to go in and smell all the baked apple things, and look thru the jars of homemade jams and butters. We got a big basket of Macouns, and Sam got some fudge and a 1/2 gallon of cider. I just enjoyed the smells and the mums and pumpkins, sipped my water and dreamed of the week I get to throw an apple in the food processor - soon I hope.
Glenn and I played cribbage for a while, but we were so bored this weekend. It rained and rained, and when it was done raining, it rained some more. There was a small break in that around 2pm, so I put on my sneakers and went out for a walk. I guess I was out about 30 minutes or so...It was great! I needed it.
Later I made meatloaf for my guys for dinner, and pouted as I had my 4oz of Cream of Mushroom soup. I'm beginning to get sick of the creamed soups. I think I will just stick to protein drinks today. The thought of eating what I have on my week 2 list is getting to me, and I don't get back to see my do****il NEXT week, so I don't see the chance to move up to week 3 until the end of week 3. I swear, I am not obsessed, but the choices I have right now are not doing it for me.......I refuse to be a renegade with the food, tho. I don't want to mess things up with my new tummy and I am not gonna cheat.
So, today I have to avoid the raindrops once again, and get to the grocery store for a couple of things. Sam is home from school tomorrow and Weds for Rosh Hashanah, so I need some things in the house for him. When I was in school, we had to miss for New Year, but now this town takes the days off. Go figure. Anyway, hopefully I will be able to squeeze a walk in this afternoon, if it clears up like they say.
Just re-read this note and boy, my life is as boring as my wkend was.
Have a great day everyone!

When you get older, you realize it's a lot less about your place in the world but your place in you. It's not how everyone views you, but how you view yourself. - Natalie Portman
We didn't get home until 8:00 last night. We left Eunice about 4, it's a 2 1/2 - 3 hour direct drive, but we took the scenic route and then stopped at Cabela's sporting good. I was looking for a thermal shirt to take to London in Dec. Found one!!
Our visit with daughter, SIL, and Gabe went well. Got there about 9:30 Sat. morning, daughter had a delicious breakfast casserole ready along with fruit and COFFEE! We cleaned the kitchen, went outside to play with Gabe. He's a bug hunter

She was m 'true' friend and even today, 30 years after her death, I still miss her.
We have my son and DIL over with Elizabeth, in my avitar, every Thursday, unless a major problem. I love cooking for them and playing with her.
37 days to RNY and my new life and I am almost through my pre ops - tomorrow is my pulminary and then just straight blood test, at 30 days pre and visit with my GP so she can fil out some more 'medical history' and then I'm done.
Thanks for listening.

Hope all are well today. I'm writing from work, (NO NO) but doing it anyway. Not much new with me since last nights post about the long hot soak in the tub! Oh did it feel great! I have some horribly boring work ahead of me here at work and am trying to avoid it, but can't too much as it has to be done. knowwhatimean? LOL
Happy new year to you Carla and all of our Jewish brothers and sisters.
I'm actually waiting for a telephone call from the medical supply place. I don't remember if I told you all or not, but the sleep apnea has not gone away. I got the result last week of the sleep study and still am classified as severe. Not as bad as it was 3 years ago prior to WLS but still severe enough to need a c-pap at night. So, just waiting to see when I can get it. I actually hope it works well this time and I feel more awake during the day! My sleep doc said that even if I weighed 100# I would still have sleep apnea and she thinks that contributed to the obesity. It makes sense as people with OSA tend to eat a lot of carbs. Hmmmm Oh well, have a great Monday all!
