Am I the oldest person to have WL surgery?
Lucy: I was scared too, but excited at the same time. The doctors and nurses were wonderful and the facility was great. I had to spend an extra night in the hospital, but no big deal.
My best advice to you would be to follow the rules, and do exactly what they tell you to do. These are medical pros and want you to succeed, as does everyone on this forum.
Some one else said here to hang on and enjoy the ride! I second it. I'll keep you in my prayers.
Hugs,
Rudie

Hi! I am scheduled to have RNY surgery on the 4th. We can share experiences if you like. I will be 60 in 4 months, but some ,(most) days feel older than that. Are you worried about how your life will change after the surgery or just excited? I keep eating something and thinking , "Well, that is the last time I can ever have that". Then I think how nice it will be to walk and not have my knee hurt. Is your family supportive? Mine are supportive (somewhat) but worried.
Hope you have a good day.
Mary
