Ok guys, here we go, it has been a year since the last debate, and I am itching for feed back. How much protein can our new bodies absorb at a setting??

No debate from me.  My answer is dunno.

I just eat cheese all day long.  That is my snack of choice.

I am a cheese stickster myself. I remember people taking those protein bullets, and their doctors telling them they were not getting in enough protein, and therefore NOT getting the expected weight loss....so I ponder...and wonder...and get feed back.
Of course after losing almost 300 pounds, I know I am doing something right..

Those bullets are the wrong kind of protein, they are mostly Collegen.....same thing that Jello is.

You sure must be doing something right.

I always bring a container that has swiss, mozarella, and mild cheddar.

I could not stand the bullets or most other protein drinks, but the Atkins Advantage did me well.  Drank two of them a day, plus had one egg and one ounce of cheese for breakfast.  Doc said that was fine.

I thankfully got put on regular food today. I am a week out. I don't get to have fruits and veggies yet until about 6 months out but I can have poultry, beef (ground), pork, and any thing that swims. There are a few other things like milk and cheeses that I can have too. I was really getting tired of just protein drinks.

I have to admit that I don't know either. I do know that I feel better when I eat mostly protein with my meals. There is some days~like yesterday when protein is just about the only thing that I eat. When I don't have much of an appitite I just make sure to concentrate on that. When I am not in the mood to eat a lot of times I grab a spoon of peanut butter. That is at least something with it in there. I am one that loves cheese with my whole heart but I can't eat a lot of it since it makes me so constipated. Not a good thing. You may not beleive this but I get cranky! OH NO! Not me you say but just ask Bill about Old Cranky Face and he will sure tell ya! haha

I eat mostly dense protein and I do drink Slim Fast low carb shakes sometimes for breakfast or a snack. I can't tolerate those protein drinks either. I loved the Muscle Milk light in chocolate milk flavor but since surgery they are discusting to me. I can't stand the taste or the texture. How things change after wls. I would have never believed it until I experienced it.

that tells what kind of life you have lived.
