Rehab doctor visit

Very interesting if short visit with the rehab doc, Dr. Lado. Nice man, in his late 30s, also suffering from arthritis. He thinks my whole problem stems from mechanics and weak muscles (I wish I had him write down the name of the muscle ... it's not the quads or the hamstring, but some on the inside of the leg above the knee). Anyway, he gave me some simple exercises to do. When I described my pain to him, he started poking around on my leg and hit one of the spots right away, but I had to point out the other spot that was really hurting on Monday. I told him I had been diagnosed with tendinitis, then tendonosis; he said most often therapists give you the wrong exercises to do to strengthen the wrong muscles. And, he said, the ortho docs focus only on the bones and the joints and forgot about everything else, they don't look at the muscles and the tendons at all. (Which I already knew after dealing with the jerks I've been dealing with.) So I hope it's as simple as all this. If it is, I will thank Dr. Davis (the pain specialist) for recommending this guy ... he's also at the pain clinic ... but wish that he had recommended him earlier.

It sounds like you found the right doctor! I sure hope he helps you!

This sounds promising. Just like the WLS ... better late than never.

Start the new exercises and maybe slowly you will feel relief.

I am learning this same lesson.... each doctor or therapist likes to rag on the other guy/girl and tell me how much better they are than the other one......

.... and it sure makes it hard to know who to trust.

I guess we'll  just have to keep plowing ahead and hope that one of them knows what they are talking about and also hope that me and you are smart enough to be able to tell who is right!

I will pray that you have finally found the one who knows what to do.,...

Eileen, I pray that this works for you. My heart is breaking for you and all the pain that you are in. I knew that God had to point you in the right direction and it seems like He might have now. I wish that it didn't take Him so long but I guess He does things all in His time and not ours. He has no calendars or watches so He knows no time. It came to you when you were ready to hear it. Just do what you are suppose and God will take care of the results. Know that you remain in my prayers for this and you always do.
