It's Thursday What's New

Hi my OFF Family:

It's nearly 1 a.m.; I got online to check to see if my paycheck deposit was in the bank (it wasn't); sometimes it gets there before midnight, sometimes after. Didn't realize it was still before 1 a.m. I got done really early tonight, before 10 p.m. and since I chatted with my boss during the night, it was easy to skip out (hope he doesn't read this!) It's nice to get out early; I haven't been able to do that the past couple of weeks because I've been busy.

So I got home in time to see the White Sox lose ... no hitting tonight, but good pitching. Typical. Now they're only a half-game in front of the Twins. Not good at all! Four games left, one with the Twins, three with the Indians, so things do not look good. Oh well, we'll always have 2005.

Diva was in here before trying to get in the box with all my ceramic pieces. I really don't have a place to put that box. I need to work on some of those pieces, but have to get out my paints and see what's still good and what I need to get. One of those is supposed to be a Christmas gift for my friend in South Dakota (well, it was supposed to be for last year).

Oh well, that's all for now. I'll check in later. Today I have an early appointment, then it's shopping. I suddenly got the munchies so I'm going to have a snack before I go to bed. See  ya.

Good morning all.  Yesterday was a tough one (it is actually still yesterday for me).

I normally get home from work just before 7AM.  Eat a bowl of cereal while I watch a TV show that is DVRed.  Then go to bed about 7:45AM.  Set my alarm for 1:30PM, so not quite 6 hours of sleep a day.  But between it and my power nap, I make it.  Well, when I got home yesterday, Mary is not feeling well.  And Wednesday is her day to take the grandkids to pre-school.  So they are at the house when I get there.  I go lay down at 8AM, at 8:30 Mary wakes me and says there is no way she can take the kids.  So I get up, take them, then come back home.  Get to bed at 9:30.  Get up at 1PM because the Rangers are on TV.

Received word this evening that the Texas Message Board lost one of their members last night.  She just had DS three weeks ago.  Passed away last night.  They are doing an autopsy today.  So sad.  Her screen name was Jerrysgirl, real name Allison.  46 years old.  Been married 2 years.  Say a prayer for her and Jerry.

Sorry to get everyone so down.  Hopefully today will be a better day.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

will be working over today to make up (most of the time) for yesterday---and then not sure what the agenda is--got some info on a job possible so need to def call on that! there ARE angels watching over us  this one knows who she is , i hope!

michael took all of the interior doors off last nite - the realtor thinks that they need polyurethaned....geez the house is 18 yrs old and they were never done..ok---so he'll do that --but now that means that my cat can get into every nook in the house and deposit hair!!!!!!!!--well- 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms/1 closet and the linen closet...ouch-i can see it now!!!!!

last nite he mumbled about doing the roof himself..oh geez i will kill him if i find out he is up there roofing...that is if he doesn't fall off anf break his neck first.....

i told michael last nite that with all his griping about what she (realtor) saw that needs to be done (which really wasn't that much for HIM to do) i would love to just stay here--IF i could find a job that would pay enough...sooooo....

well- off to get beautiful...
hugs and prayers to all......

Hey everyone

This week has been a blur.....  We are ending our fiscl year at work and it is coming it an end so I wm running around getting it all together..

Lovely weather hear in Alabama this time of year. FALL had happened :) quietly and overnight it seems .

I overdid my areobic's last night and I am sore as a soretail cat as the old folks used to say LOL .
Maybe I am getting to old for that :)
Judy ,, your rosebush will make it , just baby it and plant it in full sun .  Dont fertilize it in the dormat time just some water when planting and I think it will be good . Mine survived a move and that is what I did.
George sorry about the loss of your friend ...  I hate hearing that when they dont really say what happened as it makes us all worry I think that it could be a part of the surgery we had .
We had a lady pass away too and she was 2 years out . Her blood sugar got to low and she never woke up the next day .
Hope everyone else is having a wonderful Thursday so far and sending hugs and Blessing out to all of you
Shirley

Good Morning Eileen and Off Family,

Mom had a sleep study last night.  Don't know what they studied cause she say she did not get to sleep until around 3:00 am.  Not much sleep to study as I had to be at the hospital to pick her up at 5:30 am.  LOL

DH is still asleep so I thought I would check in with ya'll and see what's going on.  It is a windy, rainy day here. Temp was around 57 when I got back home.  Just long sleeve weather but the rain makes my joints ache!!  Not been on any nsaids since surgery on 8/12 so I guess I will just deal!!  Supposed to be this way all day, good lazy weather!!

I just put a pot of 15 bean soup on so that should take care of dinner.  Think I will go clean up the living room and get the gas fireplace ready in case it is is cool enough to light later.  I love to sit by the fire with a bowl of soup!

George, I hope Mary will be feeling better quickly.  I will certainly remember your friend and her family in my prayers.

Marge, I know how you feel.  My DH wants to do everything himself so it seems like nothing gets done!!  He is so picky that no one can to anything to suit him!  A real perfectionist and sometimes it drives me crazy! Oh well at least I know it is done right (or at least to his specs).

Eileen, I am glad you had a chance to get home a bit earlier that usual.  Sorry about your Soxs maybe next season will be better.

Well I have rambled long enough.  Gonna go try to get a bit done before DH gets up.

Sending good thoughts and prayer to all,

vera- perfection isn't even the problem! he fell at work in 2006 and is wobbly when he walks even--and well- let'sjust say it'snot a good thing for him to be up on that ladder-and he was again today--but i watched and prayed...now the roof- that would be a diff story!

Good Morning Eileen and my OFF family,

Thought I'd drop in to say Good Morning before I get busy at work.

I decided against the spinal block and thought I'd give the chiropractor a try.  Even though it was $3000 out of my pocket, I'm hoping it will be money well spent.  Time will tell.  I had my first adjustment last night, so I'm feeling it today.  Next one is tomorrow afternoon.

Eileen, looking forward to seeing you again in Frankenmuth.  Can't wait to visit Bronner's again too.  I love that place.  We really enjoy the outlets at Birch Run, too.

Hope everyone has a great day!

 Floyd,

I had an exam by a chiropractor just this week.  His set up is one I have never heard of.  He will adjust the spine, stretch it to open the discs and have you do exercises in a special chair.  It is a three fold situation.  Plus, there are at home things you must do.  His success rate is fantastic.  I don't have insurance or the $$ to follow through but when I'm gainfully employed I want go back to him.  He doesn't believe in just adjusting the spine.  He wants total recovery.

Good Luck with your back...  I'm glad you decided not to have the block.    Millie
