Happy Wednesday!  I don't have a lot planned for today except working on my recovery, which is going rather well.  I just came in from a nice walk around the block and am getting ready to plop down to read a while. Will probably nap after that, and then get up for lunch and another walk before my son gets home from school.  I sure am enjoying these guilt free days of doing nothing except walking, reading, and napping as I feel like it.

Since I began this journey with my pre-op diet two weeks prior, into my surgery last week, I am happy to report that as of this morning I have lost 20 lbs!  Wow!  So amazing!

B- protein shake  S- 4 oz chicken broth  L - protein shake  D- protein shake  S - 4 oz chicken breast or SF popsicle

Tomorrow I think I am going to replace a shake with some cottage cheese! Whoo hoo!  Can't wait!

Have a great day all.

Cara

You sound good. I am so sorry I am lagging behind. Congrats on your weight loss!!
I like living in recovery, I know myself so much better now. I realize you are talking about surgery, but my mind has recovered a lot too.
Thank you for sharing, and please do not disappear.
You take care now!

I worked yesterday from 3p-3a, so I am just getting up and moving... Starting off the day with a low carb Slim Fast

I need to cook a few things today so I will have something to grab when I go to work tomorrow and over the weekend.

But for the rest of the day - I plan to have some baked ricotta with 1 oz of chicken and 3 oz of tuna salad with cheese stick for supper.  I never seem to get any sancks in.  I am rarely hungry and by the time I drink all the water, I just don't want a snack.

While I was gone to Memphis, I didn't track/journal my food, so today I am committed to journaling again.  I  will go back to My Daily Plate for journaling to keep up with protein and calories consumed.

Have a great day, everyone!

Hiya Sheila, you seem back on track, good for you! I always like to have protein handy. I go through stages, I was on a chicken leg kick for awhile..protein on a stick...LOL.
I rarely get all my food in and eat small meals.
I put snacks in so that if I do eat something, it is not a compulsive act.

I wish you continued sucess, I started this thread so that I could be honest with myself, and I get back tenfold from you guys!
You have a wonderful weekend if I don't hear from ya.
