TV Questions

On the Texas Message Board, we do a QOTD (Question of the Day).  We used to do it daily, but it is just sporadic now.  I asked some TV questions the other day, and I got to wondering about the TV habits here. 

1.  What new show are you/were you looking forward to seeing?

2.  What returning show are you looking forward to?

3.  What is your favorite night to watch TV?  What shows?

4.  What percentage of the shows you watch are taped/DVRed?

1.  What new show are you/were you looking forward to seeing? The Mentalist

2.  What returning show are you looking forward to? NCIS

3.  What is your favorite night to watch TV?  What shows? Monday is my favorite.  The four comedies on CBS (Worst Week was disappointing).  Then CSI Miami.

4.  What percentage of the shows you watch are taped/DVRed? Probably 80% or better is DVR.  I watch CBS shows between 7PM and 9 PM Central.  I watch these at work.  But I DVR a lot of other shows.  Bones, all the Law and Orders, all the CSIs.

1.  What new show are you/were you looking forward to seeing? None really
2.  What returning show are you looking forward to? Lost, but it doesn't come bac****il Febrary.  I also like The New Adventures of Old Christine.
3.  What is your favorite night to watch TV?  What shows? Wednesday cos I get to watch Ghosthunters with those good ol' boys from RI, and I think that is the nite to watch Chef Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares.
4.  What percentage of the shows you watch are taped/DVRed?  80%, cuts out the commercials.

i am not "UP" on any of the new lineup--
2.  What returning show are you looking forward to?
i am hooked on the old Rifleman series- it's on every nite mon thru fri on encore western- at 7 pm EST--they show 2 segments-they are halfway thru the series again-poo!
i watch movies on encore western,TMC, we watch nat'l geographic and i love the hgtv shows about old houses and designing to sell etc--we go thru stages around here of what we like....

other than that - the british comedy that is on saturday nites on PBS- i love the vicar and as time goes by

4.  What percentage of the shows you watch are taped/DVRed?
i got a dvr from our cable company as a "sorry" for the sucky service but i haven't figured out yet how to hook it up

1.  Don't know what's on the new this season.
2.  Two and a Half Men, New Adventures of Old Christine, Kitchen Nightmares, Hell's Kitchen.  Also enjoy the Law and Order shows, but seldom watch them.  George's TV tastes are different, except Two and a Half Men).  He likes Survivor Man, How it was Made, almost anything on the History, fishing shows, baseball, basketball (which I watch sometimes).  I also enjoy some of the cooking shows on Food Network (Paula Deen, Good Eats)

4.  90% of what I watch is recorded.  I record Rachel Ray and Days of our Lives during the day while at work.

what ever night has the best shows on not sure just yet because i work some nights...grrrr

none taped right now til i get into my OWN place and have MY tv hooked up lol so the % would be maybe 10%

Hi George,

1.  Looking forward to watching "The Mentalist" today.  I recorded it because I was watching "Dancing With The Stars" last night!

2.  Returning shows:  I enjoyed "CSI Miami" and I'm looking forward to "Life" coming back.  I didn't think it was going to until I saw a commercial for it. 

3.  Favorite night of TV is Sunday night because I LOVE "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers and Sisters."

4.  I DVR everything!  I never can stay up late enough to finish watching everything since I get up for work at 4 a.m.  I've learned it's better to watch the DVR because I get to skip the commercials.

Fringe looks good, and I've recorded but haven'****ched it yet; also the Mentalist, but because of baseball season, haven't recorded it yet.

2.  What returning show are you looking forward to?
Grey's Anatomy, ER

Thursday: Grey's Anatomy, ER, Earl

4.  What percentage of the shows you watch are taped/DVRed?
almost all because I work nights.

1.  The Mentalist - I have it taped, but not had time this morning to watch it yet...

2.  Two and Half Men - I can't help but laugh out loud when I watch it.  NCIS (taped from last night) and CSI

3.  Maybe Tuesday nights, but then Mondays are good, too... LOL

4.  50 to 75%

And then there is Young and the Restless - I watch it on the internet most of the time...

I'm happy Dancing with the Stars started again. I haven't seen any new shows that I have found interesting enough to watch.

2.  What returning show are you looking forward to? I'm anxiously awaiting the return of ER, Grey's Anatomy, Dirty Sexy Money, and Dexter


3.  What is your favorite night to watch TV?  What shows?
Wednesday - Project Runway

4.  What percentage of the shows you watch are taped/DVRed?  100%  I DVR all the shows I like and then watch them when I feel like doing nothing.
