George,

Those Yankee fans are a different breed! They live and breathe for their team, no matter how good/bad they are doing that season.

I always cheered for the opposing team - silently of course. Dad would have grounded me for a decade if he knew.

Eileen, I am already so dang tired of the cubby's, cubby's, and more cubby's. Like they are so great. I have a cousin in law that is stubborn as the day is long and she is of course a cub's fan. She talks about the sox and finally a couple of weeks ago I said to her "It seems to me that the sox must be better since I don't see the cub's winning any world series." She had a smart mouth remark to make but then she shut up about the beloved cub's. I would like to take a cub and stuff it in her mouth to shut it up!!!!!!!! haha But I will be nice and just keep making the remark. Now if they win we will never hear the end of it. On the sports news here it is all you hear!!! I am so sick of it already.

Morning to all of my lovely and handsome sisters and brothers. I am hoping that each and every one of you enjoy your hump day today. Sometimes it is hard to get over the hump but once you do it helps. Just remember that no hump can be hurddled until you hop the hump. Now isn't that deep thinking so early in the morning? I am impressed with myself~but then again I can easily impressed.

I am planning on going to the library today to take my books back and also to spend some much needed quiet time. I am so looking forward to it. I love going to the library and just looking and reading and watching the wooded area in the back. They big beautiful windows that look out over the woods and you can see the birds and all. In the winter it is just like a Christmas card. Can you tell I love the library? Always have and always will.

Misty is watching out the window and she must see something because her little head is not moving at all. She isjust stareing and obsessed with something or someone. She is so fun to watch. There is never a dull moment around here with Misty here. I am so glad that I got her. She may drive me nuts  at times I still love her with all my heart.

I had my meeting at the church last night and met our new Pastor and his wife. They are lovely people and I think that they are going to fit in well. Pastor Britt's last day is Oct. 5th and Pastor G's is the 6th. His first Sunday service is going to be the 12th and I have to be there and introduce him to the congregation and kind of be his support and then we are having a welcome dinner for him. His wife is so nice and just beautiful too. She is such a support for him and they look young. We were surprised that they have a 25 year old son who is in his 3rd tour of Iraq (his wife lives with Pastor), a 23 year old daughter who lives in Fort Wayne and is expecting, and a 20 year old daughter who is a full time student at Northwestern University in Chicago and comes home on the week ends. I told them that they just don't look old enough to have kids that age. Looks can be decieving.

Maybe that is why most folks are surprised that I am only 54~because I look every bit of 64! It must be nice to look younger~but then I wouldn't know. haha I have a little story to tell about that one. One day when Bill and I hadn't been married to long Bill was talking to someone and they asked him if I was his MOTHER! He said no she is my wife and they said "Oh.". How rude can some people be? I mean I know that I am older than Bill is but jeeze only by 2 stinking years. I don't think that I would be his mother being only 2 years older. We do sometimes still laugh at that one. Some people can be so dumb. Can't they?

I just talked to Carla on the phone and I broke the news to her that I am not going to be able to go to Frankenmuth. It breaks my heart because I so wanted to go. It seems like when you get excited about something life comes and bites you in the butt. Oh well, what are you going to do about it? It is like Carla said, there is going to be other ones. I was so looking forward to meeting Margo and all the rest of my sisters. I will be there in spirit so know that I am there laughing and having fun with all of you. But I am still sad. Like king size sad.

I had a episode with my blood pressure again yesterday. I called the heart doctor and talked to his nurse. He wants to see me tomorrow at 2 so I am going there. I told the nurse that my pcp wants me to go off all of the blood pressure meds and I told her that I will not do it. I will not go back to what I was when they found out what was wrong. I went through 9 months of h3ll in plain words. I was so weak that I couldn't even stand up in the shower for more than 2 minutes. I never went anywhere in those 9 months but to doctors and the hospital. I was in the hospital 7 times in those 9 months for pneumonia. Finally he called in a heart doctor and they found the cardiomyopathy. The use the blood pressure meds to strengthen the heart. It is now almost back to normal (normal for someone with cardiomyopathy anyway) and I refuse to go back to that. I told his nurse yesterday that I would die before I did that. She said alright. Now they know where I stand and I am holding my gound on that. What is the point of living if you are just going to end up dying and doing it is a terrible way? Makes no sense to me. I believe in quality and not quantanty.

I guess on that bright and cheery note I am closing. I have so much to do today. Library, sermon and service planning and stewardship moment writing too. All for Sunday. I have to get the bulletin into Jeri by tomorrow at the latest so she can print it. The comes the sermon writing and that takes time. Oh dear, I must be insane. If I am not I will be by Monday. haha

I am sending lots of love and big old hugs to go with it. I am praying for each and every one of you and special prayers are going up for those in need of them. Have a beautiful day and remember that this is the day the Lord has made so let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Hi Brenda:

Sorry you can't join us in Frankenmuth. We'll miss you!

If the blood pressure meds help you, then stay on them. Your heart doctor will know best.

I got so mad at the Fox sports guys last week ... they kept saying, "They haven't had a baseball world championship in Chicago for 100 years." I was yelling at the TV ... "The Sox won in 2005, don't you remember?" There's more than one team in Chicago, you dolts! I really hate Cub fans. They think there's only one team in Chicago.

You do a lot for your church, I hope they appreciate you.

There is only one team in Chicago that plays real baseball.  The White Sox are in the American League.  (I hate the DH)

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Hi Eileen and Everyone,

I'm sorry you had a bad time of it with the coworker.  Hang in there as you just had an "exceptional" day and forget about it.  Good news your knee feels better!  Take that joy and keep it going for as long as you can!  Super news.

Nothing new here for me.  Got two new tires for the car yesterday.  My daughter called and her hubby has the possibility of a new job so we're very excited about that one!  Don't want to jinx it but it was hard to sleep last night with fingers and toes crossed.

Take care and have a great Wednesday.

Hope the job works out for your son-in-law.

Hey, new tires are a big thing! Cars always appreciate new shoes.

Judy:

Just keep remembering that you're out of that place soon, you can put up with it for five more days.

I went to Subway too yesterday, but got something I could put away and have for later. Saw the prime rib but went with turkey because I didn't want to reheat.

Sorry we won't see you at Frankenmuth either ... so many can't make it.

Judy, I have to get deep pocket sheets in queen size too. The last time I got them I got them idividually at Wal Mart. You buy them seperate and the pillowcases too. I just thought about that and i figured I should tell you about it. I am not sure if they still sell them but you could try.

Love and hugs to you!
