It's Tuesday, What's New with You?
Hey Margo, stay right where you are and gripe all you want ... that's what we're here for, to listen. If I didn't have this place to whine, I'd be lost. So if I can whine and cry about my knee, you can gripe about your problems, too. We're here to listen to everyone!
I sure understand about Michael's pain! I was up til nearly 5 a.m. with my knee ... luckily the cats don't care, they just find another spot to sleep until I go to bed. I remember when my dad was alive and in pain, he started sleeping in the spare bedroom (my old room) because he was up so often and didn't want to keep my mom awake (and he also snored a lot). He was in pain a lot from his hips, his kidneys (he was on dialysis) and the colon cancer at the end. I know you want to be with your hubby, but maybe separate beds is a solution.
Hang in there, Margo, maybe there is a job out there for you! Can't wait to see you in person and give you a big hug. For now, here's a cyberhug

Morning one and all!
Eileen, I'm so sorry your knee isn't any better now than before. Must be horribly depressing. I used to do ceramics, too. Made a beautiful Christmas village that I work forever on. Then, one day, my dog was chasing a mouse in the garage and dumped over a bunch of boxes. Yep, the village went away. So sad. So much for ceramics.
Mark, be careful while out looking for trees with that new knee.....
Well, the Walk is over and done with and from what everyone says, it went very well. We ended up with exactly 200 walkers and raised about $19,000, which is a lot less that the previous two years, but with the economy I think it's pretty good. Everyone ended up helping so much....guess my little meltdown really got them off their butts. But that's good! There's fierce competition here between the two hospitals and all of the surgeon's offices, so it's nice that for one short time they could all work together.
Our first run of Saint Bella's product line is ready to go if our graphic designer would just get the labels made. AGHHH I'm about ready to put stickey notes onto the bottles!!!! Must be a reason for the delay, I keep telling myself. All in due time.
Please say some prayers for my son, Jeff. He's had a difficult time in the job market and has a second interview with Blue Cross for a very (for him, anyway) good job. It would sure take the pressure off my DIL.
Hugs to everyone! Time to mosey on and get ready for work.

Bet you are glad the walk is over.... sorry to hear you weren't able to raise more $$$ than before. I know it is the economy... it i****ting everyone and the few extras spend on fundraising is not what it was. My $$ are headed to charities now. We are having a garage sale this weekend and the $$ will go towards the local charity.
Prayers are being sent as I type for Jeff. I too am going to enter the job market and am wondering how it will go for me... ughhh
Have a wonderful day..... Millie

Congrats on the success of the walk! That's great in this economy. Hope the product goes well.
Yes, my cats have destroyed some ceramics too ... the old cats, at least, Kittle did numbers on my southwest village ... decapitated all the little people one morning when he decided I wasn't getting up early enough to feed him (these guys I have now don't care ... they'll let me get up when I want to get up, because they always have food out, well so did Kittle and Cinnamon, but they also got wet food too).
Went to pick up my stuff today and boy, did she pick up the students ... the place was packed! Before, she only had about five people. Now, there's almost a dozen in there. So she sure doesn't need me anymore. I tried to unload some of my pieces so I didn't have to haul them home, but no one wanted anything. So I'll buy some paints at Michaels and work on them at home.
Prayers for your son. Times are tough in the job market.

Good morning, Eileen and all my other OFF family.
Eileen, before I forget I need to let you know that I got your message the other day and I am intending to call you. Between not feeling good and the meetings and what is going on with Pastor at the church things are getting put on the back burner. I am so sorry.
I am hoping that today I start to feel a bit better. I am afraid to say this to loud but there seems to be some of it starting already. Keep your fingers crossed that it continues. Oh my.......dare I to hope? I have been taking the Tylenol Severe Cold and Chest Congestion for a couple of days and Ella told me it was fantastic and she just may be right. That wouldn't be the first time she steered me in the right direction.
Today is sunny out and I do so love that. It is suppose to be hotter today than it was yesterday. Temperature wise it wasn't to bad but the humidity was bad yesterday so I am thinking it is going to be the same stuff again today. Oh well, the less humidity days will be coming soon. I can take the heat but the humidity still bothers me.
No one is up yet. Misty was up for a minute and now she has even gone. All is quiet here and that is the way I love to begin my day. I just sit here in my rocker and most of the time there isn't television on and I just sit here with all of my OFF family and start the day with my water at side. I love sharing my day with all of you. It seems to be the right way to do it.
I have another meeting at the church tonight, this one is another one with the DS. I am getting tired of all these meetings. The price of gas is killing me too. I live about 15 minutes from the church all they down major highways so the car, as my dad told me when I was a young teen ager, is yelling nickle, nickle, nickle for gas. Only now it yells more like mega dollars, mega dollars, mega dollars instead of nickle! I will be glad when life for me gets back to normal. Yesterday I made 2 trips to the church and back home.
I am hoping this afternoon I am going to find the time to do some house picking up. I still have stuff here in the living room to put away and then things will be about done here. Then after this is finished it is time to attack the bedroom. My heaven, that is going to take me a month of Sunday's. I know that the bedroom is suppose to be our sanctuary but mine seems to have become our drop off room instead. Then again, Bill has made it become the closet and he also has one of his own of those too. His clothes are spread all around that room. That drives me totally NUTS. I guess it shows me that I can not contol him no matter how bad I want to. And trust me on this one~I want to really really bad!!!
I guess I had better get going. I am sending love and hugs to all with prayers too. Special ones are going up for those in need. Remember that today is the day that the Lord has made so let us rejoice and be glad in it. I will meet you all here again in mornig for sure. Maybe off and on during the day too.

Glad you are feeling better. I have so much to do today ... after not sleeping well last night, I ran to the ceramics place, to get my prescription filled and now I'll have a dentist appointment this afternoon before going to work. Busy afternoon! Maybe tomorrow we can chat.
Try to rest up and maybe you'll feel better.

Hi Eileen and Everyone,
Haven't been around much -- very busy at work and nothing much new to share. Eileen -- I'm so sorry to hear your knee is not any better for you. I will keep my fingers crossed your appointment this week helps. I sure hope you were able to rest because there is nothing worse than pain and lack of sleep.
I've been on vacation from work so that's very nice! Decided to driving north up the California coast. It was very nice to see the oaks in the Ojai Valley area and then on to the Pacific Ocean coastline. Had a very nice time. Hubby, who is ill, did very well! It was good for him to get out of the little condo we live in and the change of pace did me some good, too. Our favorite thing happened in Monterey. We were at dinner at the Chart House on Cannery Row. The restaurant is built out over the water on stilts and two sea otters were playing and providing the entertainment throughout our entire dinner! We both love animals so that was a real highlight.
Lots of boring stuff planned for the rest of the week. Tires for the car (yuk!). Move furniture and clean behind the couch and bed. Real fun stuff. I figure that's a form of exercise so I'll tackle it.
I have two plants on the patio of the condo to figure out how to dig out of the ground. We don't own a shovel so that will make it even more difficult! I wonder if a tablespoon would do it.....
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
Kathi

Hi Kathi:
The sea otters playing sound so wonderful. I love sea otters! I only have seen them once, when I was in Alaska. But I have a little figurine I bought from a store when I got back from Alaska because I didn't buy enough in Alaska ... I have it sitting near my fountain. It reminds of how cute and playful they are. it's a sea otter with a shell. I really like it a lot. Your vacation sounds fun, too. I have never been to that part of California ... only to L.A. for a convention when I was in college. Someday maybe ... always said I was going to take my mom to see Aunt Kay in Oakland but now Aunt Kay is dead ... still have cousins up in northern California though.
