Any one OVER 60?????
I had my surgery 3 years ago at the age of 58, so Im 61 now. At the time of surgery I was unable to walk very far at all, couldnt keep my house up, suffered congestive heart failure over and over, borderline diabetic, high blood pressure. Today I am down almost 140 pounds, and completely healthy. I walk, yesterday I even ran a bit! I work in they yard, climb ladders, move furniture. Im so happy with the results of the surgery, and the change in my life. Its fun to shop, and dress up, and even sewing for myself is fun cause the clothes are cute!
I love life now,,its all good!
Be Blessed!

"WOW"...Thank all of you for responding. It has made my day!!!! Now I don't feel like the "LONE RANGER". hahaha. I certainly will keep on communicating on this site and I wish to get to know each and every one of you.
After my surgery I intend to get some pictures of myself posted and all the other neat things you all have on your blogs. I will have to have my 8 year old grand daughter help me with the "technical" stuff as getting my avatar running. See, I'm learning all this computer jargon !! I am 5'7" tall and have a BMI of 41 I have sleep apnea and have bee using the "gorgeous" mask for 5 years, I suffer from Fibromyalgia, arthritis and high blood pressure and some depression. I hope to alievate some or most of those ailments with weight loss. I will be having this surgery in Bismarck, ND
I am just sooooo excited to have found you beautiful 60ish people.
God Bless you all and thank you for answering my plea!!! hahaha

please dont wait to put up some pictures or to take pictures they are the best way to see how much you are losing.
take them every week or so then looking back you can see how well you have done.
dont know how well you get rid of high blood pressure with the lap band but know that i have never taken another pill after my surgery date and the RNY..nothing i guess gets rid of arthritis but it does help it to get the weight off fast anyway.
good luck

Hi Sandy
Good for you...take your life back. I just had my DS on Tuesday. Now I have time to take care of all my doc visits...no stress no schedule...I can plan without restrictions. Time is now on my side. I will be 61 in two months. This would not have been possible when I had a job to get to.
Retirement enables us to do so much more.
