What we are eating and what's eating us. Friday!!

Oh what memories Romper Room, Capt. Kangaroo, and locally we had Popeye and Pals!  Hope our magic mirror allows us to see all our friends have fun today and all weekend!

The head of the dept. has me hopping again today.  His sec. is off on Fridays.  She lives about an hour away and to save her some $$ on gas, she was offered a deal - work 4 10 hour days and have Fri. off.  Wish they'd make me that deal.  It wouldn't have to be a Fri. off, I'd take Mon.  Anyway, all week long, she sits there talking on the phone with her husband, DIL, son, sister, friends, or reading her book, then on Friday, all this work seems to appear.  It's not that she's not available to do the work, her boss waits until Friday morning to wrap  things up for the week.  He likes to take off half a day on Friday.  At least he's very appreciative of my help!  Every letter I hand him, or every phone call I transfer, he says "Thank you!"  I could get spoiled hearing that.  One of our other docs asked me to help him secure recuts of patient slides for a conference.  Within 10 minutes, it was done.  This was Tues., he's still thanking me this morning.  His words, "Thanks to you, I won't have to eat turd cookies at my conference.  I don't know how I would have gotten those slides."  Gee, it's part of my job.

B - protein shake
S - banana and peanut butter
L - left over Chinese (cashew chicken and pecan shrimp for sure)  Boy was it gooood!
S - cheese
D - steak w/mushrooms, salad, baked tater (well, probably 1/2 of one)
S - protein shake

HUGS to all,
Debbie

Hi Linda,
Not much news.  Glad you seem to be better these days.

B - Protein Bar
L - Lean Cuisine Shrimp Alfredo
D - Somethin' before the concert with my Sis-Don't know yet???
S - None

Going to see Martina McBride in Hartford tonight.  I'm in the seventh row, center section.  WOOHOO.  A present from hubby for my graduation.  But he told me to take my sis since he knows he couldn't sit in one position for that long with the knee replacement only being five weeks out.

Have a great day
Bev

Hi Debbie,
The concert was great.  Martina was fantastic.  What a show. Jason Michael Carroll has a terrific voice too.  Jack Ingram had a lot of energy but I didn't think his voice was as good as JMC.  Martina's voice was so good and she put everything into it.  I could have taken about 8 giant steps and touched her from my seat.  It would not have worked for my husband because most people spent the time standing.  He wouldn't have been able to see if he came.  My sister loved it.  She is thinking of getting tickets for her husband to a concert.  We both said we are spoiled now for having seats so close. LOL.
Thanks,
Bev
