I could not get to my posts to read last night!! I am sorry,I was entertaining 2 gentlemen, who helped me make Chili. They put yellow buds in my hair, and crowned me "Princess Flower"...  
Let us all give Donna a YAY!! She has made it to stage TWO, she is off the liquid diet, and managed not to kill anyone..

If my diet seems light, it is chunk full of protein. I am losing weight again, and I want to keep that going..

I wish I could see a photo of you with the flowers in your hair!

I had a good visit with Mom yesterday.  She was in bed when I got there (1:15 pm) but woke up when I came into the room.  She wouldn't get up, so I sat on the edge of the bed and showed her photos of a family friend's new granddaughter.  She had her usual problems finding the words she wanted, and "drifted" a little bit, but otherwise was good.

Today my husband and I are going to Paducah, KY pick up his new truck (Toyota Tacoma).  I might go to the mall after I drop my husband at the car dealer.  I really don't need to spend any money right now (I need to save money for a new vehicle of my own), but clothes shopping is actually fun now that I can buy a size 10!

B: peanut butter chocolate protein shake w/ 1/2 banana
S:  iced decaf latte
L: 2 oz chicken, 2 oz zucchini
S:  2 oz cottage cheese pudding
D: 1 crabcake, 2 oz carrots
S:  4 oz peanut butter chocolate pudding

A size 10???????? You go Jean!! Of course you love to shop!! Heck, I do not even wear a size 10 shoe!!
I believe your visits to your mom makes all the diiference in the world.
You have much you can be proud of. I miss my mom, and she was mean as 2 rattle snakes (some say I am like her). Still, what I wouldn't give to hear her voice again, and I do sometimes, in my head, usually when I am about to do something stupid.   

Good Morning Linda and Jean and anyone who follows here...

Yesterday I got my first professional haircut in a year...after my car accident last year and being off work for 3 months I ran out of money for everything so I did my own hair till now. This spring I noticed I was losing hair then it started to come back in along the edges in front...well, last few weeks I've lost tons of hair on top and could see my scalp no matter how I styled it. The cosmetologist said I should have my thyroid checked...why didn't I think of that? I haven't had it checked in a year and a half..my new pcp doesn't order that every 6 months like my other one did. I'm am not kidding...I'm very close to bald and I haven't had surgery yet. I've been eating post-operatively since April and lost 30# but haven't received my pouch yet. I have a wedding to attend this Sat and it's going to be quite embarassing with my bald head. The hairdresser gave me some shampoo and leave in conditioner and specific scalp spray to apply each day to encourage growth. I'm concerned that after surgery I'll lose all my hair. Anyway, I put in a call to my pcp yesterday and hope she'll order me a blood test for my thyroid today. I've been taking all my vitamins religiously and been super careful with my hair.
I'm seriously thinking about a wig but have no idea where to start looking for one. I'll check online.
No idea what I'm eating today yet, just got up.

Do you take Biotin? That was recommended by my dietician.

My hair has always been baby fine so it was frightening when it began to fall out. It never got too bad, thank goodness.

Whenever I have stress in my life or ANY surgery, the hair starts to fall out.

I agree that you should have your thyroid checked and also begin taking Biotin -- (it's available at Wal Mart). I still take 2 pills a day because my hair is very thin and fine and it is looking really good now. Another good supplement is zinc.

Besides my high potency multivit I take extra 100mg zinc, 10mg (not mcg) Biotin, and 200mcg Selenium. I'm going to wait a little longer for my pcp to call me then I'm going to call her again.
Yes I'm under alot of stress but I thought I was taking it better. Hopefully this is something that can be fixed with change in thyroid med.

Alice, I am sorry to hear about your hair. I think Annette has a good idea.
If your pcp does not do right by you, fire her!!! Your health is too important for her to be fiddling with. I would nag her arse to death!!! Sometimes these doctors are only interested in saving the company money if they are part of a HMO. I hear tell they get a bonus for saving them money..
For wigs, go to Paula Young's sight, she has some nice styles for our age group. I think you should have a wig, it makes you feel good, and dayum girl!! You have lost 30 pounds!!

Good morning to you Princess. I am so honored to know royalty. I can tell you that you are the second Princess that I know now. Misty is the first one. I always tell her that she is the Princess of the house since I am the Queen but then again that darn kitty thinks she is the Queen. I am not stepping down from my throne! I refuse!

Chili sound so good to me. I am going to have to make some. I have been wanting it for about a week. I must get moving on that one. Just have to get the time. Oh I should not only have a cleaning lady but a cook also. I should get a job and get them for myself. At least the cleaning lady since I hate to do that. I can rest assured that isn't going to happen in my lifetime. haha

Now down to basics since I have to fly and get to the church office.

B: slim fast low carb shake and a chees stick. I can do that in the car.
L: half a PB&J sandwich. I am hooked on those for some reason.
D: fish and veggies I believe I am in the mood for fish but that is like that all the time. :-)

I have a sway in my hips now. Now that I have hip bones to go with them. Before it was just fat swaying. haha I never saw it since I can't see it but I can feel it now and I sure was surprised when I noticed that happening. I just smiled to myself. You know those moments. Good ones!!!!!

Brenda you crack me up!! Yes!! Pookie is Queen here, I am owned by her. I love her so much. I think God gave me her, I wanted a female little doggie, I had always had big doggies before. My ex was anti-pet, but when Olivia moved back to New York, and stole my grandson (heheh), I told him either I get a dog, or we are adopting a child. I wanted a lap doggie and that she is. I wanted a female, and she was the only female in the liter.
I smile when I think how much my ex did not want anymore kids, and now he has a Russian woman half my age, and a 13 month old daughter (his kids that I helped raise are grown).
I hope she has 6 more, proving once again that God don't like ugly!!
You sound much better, and the PBJ craving will pass. I fell in love with soy chips, thought I would never live without them again. I purchased a whole case from the company when my store stopped selling them. Half way through the 2nd bag, I stopped eating them and have not since, I donated them to the food drive.
Ahh those special moments, more gifts from God...smile.
