Hi Marsha....I personally didn't think the LD was bad at all. I had to do it for 10 days before surgery and 4 weeks after.

Hope you enjoyed your meal. You will be eating some of those things again before you know it.

Good luck to you! I never had problems with steak ... except for the bad beef I had in a Smart Ones meal not too long after I could eat solids again ... it was a little tough. Some of the first meats I ate were buffalo burgers ... not as fatty as beef, very lean and my brother cooked them on the grill ... they were very tasty, too. I got in the habit of having buffalo for awhile early on out after surgery, but it's a little expensive. It's still a good alternative to beef if you want to watch your fat and cholesterol.

Marcia glad to hear you are getting ready for your surgery. I will be starting Atkins diet on the 24th of Sept. I have to do 2 wks of that diet prior to my surgery. Good luck with everything.Hugs
