Linda,

It's good to see real food on your menu again.

This afternoon I'm getting a haircut and then will go to visit Mom.  A close family friend just became a grandmother and I'm taking her photos of the baby.  Should be interesting.  Mom was like a grandmother to this baby's father, so this kind of makes her a great-grandmother.

B:  peanut butter chocolate protein shake w/ 1/2 banana
S:  iced decaf latte
L:  3 oz salmon, maybe some sliced cucumbers
S:  2 oz white chocolate raspberry cottage cheese pudding
D:  2 oz chicken, 2 oz summer squash
S:  4 oz peanut butter chocolate SF pudding

Jean - have you had any problems with Jello s/f instant chocolate pudding????? The last 2 boxes I made up didn't set up??

I added an extra cup of ff milk to the box I made yesterday and turned it into ice cream -- yummy!

Barbara,

Here is the recipe.  You can use just about any flavor of pudding mix except (in my opinion) cheesecake (the flavor of the cheesecake pudding isn't strong enough the cover the saltiness of the cottage cheese).  The cottage cheese pudding is higher in calories than regular pudding made with milk, but it's also lower in carbs and higher in protein.

1 24-oz container LF/FF cottage cheese
1 4-serving pkg SF pudding mix
1/4 c. Splenda
1-2 tbl SF flavored syrup (optional)
Whiz in food processor until very smooth.

Enjoy!

Hi Linda,

I don't think I will be seeing fresh cherries till next summer. the Honey crisp apples are in the stores and at our local orchards here in WA it's called Greenbluff, that's a part of our area that is all orchards and farms where you can go get some sort of fresh veggies and fruits almost year round...maybe not in winter but almost year round....
No change in my menu, but got to get a reign in on my cracker consumption again.
Have a good Wednesday,
Cheryl

ohhhhhh  Cheryl,   You just  jogged a pleasant memory for me.  I loved going to Green Bluff, especially in the fall.  We would drive up to get boxes of Mac apples and squash.  I just love the drive in the country up there.    We have farmers markets here but its just not the same.   When Mom came home early Sept she was going to bring back apples from there but they weren't  ready.

B: yogurt, kashi & peach   L: chili   D: meat & veggies   S: protein shake

Hi sweetie... missed  ya!

I am just eating quality foods.... all the junk we had in the house was removed and not replaced after my surgery.

One thing that seems to have happened during my surgery and recovery is that the ol pouch-a-roo seems to be working again.... no clue how this works, but i went through a week or so of only eating liquids and now I am not able to eat the quantities I was eating before. A small amount fills me up, and that's a good thing
