It's WEDNESDAY - What's new?

I am beginning to feel like a pro at this.

Someone said the other day that there  used to be a person that did this everyday and would summarize the previous day and start the new one.  That must have been a lot of work.  I know on the Texas Message Board I maintain a prayer list on the NIGH****CHMAN thread and it can involve a lot of work.

That being said, I will comment on two things from yesterday.  Susandoeshair... WOW!!!  What a story you have to tell!!  Very impressed with your persaverance.  This road is not always easy, but it can be travelled on.

The other item is the decision to start the recipe thread.  I am so looking forward to it.  Mouthwatering Monday.  This week the secret ingredient for you Iron Chefs is ......

BEEF!!!!

So, find your favorite beef recipe (ground beef, roast, steak, etc) and share it with us on Monday.  I probably will not post my recipe until Monday night, or early Tuesday morning, but I will share.  And I have already picked out my recipe.  It will come with some crockpot cooking tips that I have for it.  Interested?

Today I will get home and be ready to go to bed at 7AM, but I won't.  Mary is watching the grandkids for an hour and a half before taking them to school.  I may try to stay up and see them for a little bit.  Then, I have to get up earlier than normal because Mary and I have a 2:30 appt with Silverleaf Resorts to listen to a 90 minute presentation so we can say no thank you, can we have our gift.  It works for me.

Looking forward to the weekend.  Going to the Plano Balloonfest.  We have lived here for 20 years and never been.  And it is less than one hour away.  Shame on us.

I have babbled on long enough.  Later.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

Good morning to you dear brother George, right along with all the others I so care for on OFF. George, maybe you have found another niche in life~starting our morning thread. You do a wonderful job of it and it is so nice to see your smiling face so early in the morning. Thank you so much for doing it.

I am excited about the new thread that is going to be starting here on Monday. Thanks so much George for the thought and also for the name. It is so named correctly. Yes, this coming week the topic is Beef, so make sure you get out your recipe boxes and pick your favorite one and share it with us. We only want 1 recipe from each person and by the time we all post something there should be a goodly ammount of recipes. It would be nice if we could get a cookbook done. We could name it something like "OFF The Kitchen Wall" or something. Besides we are a bit off the wall anyway, aren't we?

Today is going to start out good. Bill has a cold and so he is getting ready to pass away at any time. No one ever has a cold as bad as his are. Or so he thinks. haha I had to go get him some cold medicine the other night and I told his cousin that I had to get the death bed medicine from Wal Mart. I am going to make him a appointment to go to the doctor since he won't leave me alone for a minute until I do. He announced to me a bit ago that it isn't a cold~he thinks it is pnuemonia and I told him that there is no fever and so it isn't that. It is a cold and that he borrows trouble. I told him that he has enough problems without borrowing more. His temp the last time I took it was 98.4.

It was so cold in here that I couldn't go to sleep once I got up for potty call. I finally broke down and turned on the funace. I just can't believe that I had to do that. I know that if I had to pay the NIPSCO bill I wouldn't have done it. Besides I didn't want Bill getting any worse than he is. Yes~I do have a heart. I have been told so many times that I am cold hearted and maybe I am to an extent but there is one there. Promise! hehe

Nothing much going on here today. Just a day to stay home and get caught up on some things. I have a evening of meetings at church tomorrow and so not much is going to get done then. I had to go into the church office this morning and make some copies for the meeting tomorrow night. I am dreading one of the meetings. The district superintendant called me to meet with the SPRC and I just know that she is going to tell me that Pastor is leaving. She might not have told me but I can see the writing on the wall. Tell me~would that be the same wall that I am off of?

I guess I had better get to moving. I am sitting here and my back is just about breaking so I want to go back and lay down in my nice cozy bed. I have been up for a couple of hours and if I don't get a bit more sleep I am not going to be fit to live with. But the million dollar question is am I ever really fit to live with?

I am sending love and lots of big hugs to go with it. Prayers are being said for everyone and special ones for those in need of them. Have a wonderful day and remember that this is the day the Lord has made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Trust me, there was not always a smile on that face.  But... since December of 2007, I have a reason to smile.  Besides my RNY, 10 days later I had almost all my teeth pulled and got my dentures.  Now I can smile without embarassment.  And I smile because I am happy.

OH My Gosh Brenda, you are going to get me in such trouble!!! Boss has a black cloud over her head today and is very very grumpy.. you know the kind of day that when she walks by you throw yourself up againest the wall to  get out of her way. So here Iam sneeking peeks at the board and I am about to explode into laughter at your decription of Bills last feeble hours on earth. Be still my heart..

Good Morning George,

watch out for those Timeshare presentations. They are such a hard sell. They will needle you to death before they give you your cheap gift.
I will look for a Beef recipie for Monday.
Not much going on today but work and then home!!!!!

Mary and I are almost professional timeshare presentation viewers.  We went to Vegas and went to two timeshare presentations.  Spent a total of 4.5 hours on the presentations.  As a result, saw 2 shows, rode the gondola, went to the wax museum and at ate a nice Italian restaurant.

George, thanks for the wow, and WOW.....what a great idea for the recipe thread.  I'm sure there are some tremendous cooks here (never trust a skinny chef!) so I'm sure you'll get lots and lots of good meal ideas for us.

Gotta run early today.  Very busy at the salon and still trying to finish up the Walk organizing. Man, will I be glad when this is over!!!

Quick hugs to everyone!

Susan

Good morning George and all,

Nothing too exciting around here. Going to the dentist this am.

Work is a bit overwhelming but nothing new. Just have to keep it in perspective and then I'm OK, that is until I let it overwhelm me again...

Laughing gas at the dentist, love it!

Have a good Wednesday!
Cheryl
