Is this unusual?
I had gastric bypass surgery the middle of July. I weighed 254 going into surgery and now weigh 222. I have not lost any weight for almost a month. I eat cereal, an instant breakfast with low fat milk or one egg for breakfast. My snack is yogurt)lowfat). Lunch is cottage cheese and canned peaches, or cooked vegetable and one string cheese, or something like that. Dinner is one small lean meat and a vegetable. I eat a lowfat/sugarfree fudgecicle before bed. I drink water all day. What do you all think? Does this look like I am messing up? Does the weight loss seem normal?
Hi Claudy, I think the most important thing is that you follow your Doctor's orders, getting in the right amount of protein, water & taking the supplements. Are you getting exercise? Did you take measurments before surgery? If not, do so now for sure. The loss of inches & pounds is a funny thing, but in time I'm sure you will do just fine.
Is that what your doc says to eat? if so, then your on track, if not, then you need to modify it to what he wants.
There is no set amount to be lost at these stages, do not compare to anyone else. Your body will lose it like it is supose to if your following his guidelines.
It took me 18 months before I lost my 100 pounds.....we are all different....
Another thing, ONLY WEIGH AT THE DOCS OFFICE. Put the scales away.
