I am banded, and feeling kinda yucky

I was banded on the tenth and have been doing ok. Tonight my mouth keeps watering you know how it does when you are about to throw up? Well I don't feel like I have to throw up but yet my mouth keeps watering, is this sliming?

From what the people in my group say, sliming means something actually comes out of your mouth. Not just a feeling of nausea.

What have you been eating or should I say drinking?  It does sound like sliming (although I haven't slimmed yet) and sounds like you may have had something that didn't agree with your stomach.  Are you still on full liquids?  You may want to post this on the lap band forum, they can really give you a lot of insight.

I have slimed but it hasn't happened to me in about a year.  It was because I didn't chew something well enough and it got stuck.  It usually takes a piece of something to do that.  The body starts making all this saliva to try to get it unstuck.  The production of saliva is so great that you can't keep it in your mouth. You have to find a place to get rid of it.  I've eaten turkey bacon and had it happen in the car and my husband had to pull over so I could spit all the saliva out on the side of the road. Or I've had to rush to the bathroom to spit in the toilet.  It's a horrible feeling like your foaming at the mouth.  I've seen on the boards where some people carry a ziploc bag in their purse lined inside with a paper towel so that if they are caught unawares out in public, they have a place to get rid of it.

Thanks, yeah that helps, I haven't had that problem again since last night. The only thing I can think of is that I took one of my pills with pudding. I thought it would go down easier, and it did but if that is what happens then I won't try that again. Tracey
