HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!

well hurricane ike appeared here in ohio today!!! omg what a mess we have here!!! had wind gusts 75-100 mph and trees are down all over the neighborhood!!! we moved my car to a different place so it wasn't under the trees...omg the tree had another huge branch fall off and it would have hit my car again!!!! the neighbors tree was torn apart at the trunk and crashed into his house...lots of branches down and also wires down...ricks frined bob called him from the trailer park and told him the tree came down on ricks old trailer!!!! so glad we didn't live there!!! we didn't have any rain here maybe a few sprinkles is all...just high winds and still having gusts 50 miles an hour yet...

brenda i hope your dam troubles don't happen!! raw sewage ewwwwwwwww!!!!!! prayers going out to you and to any of the other people in ike's path!!!!

just wanted to let you know i was ok here in this sind storm....going to bed now...what a night!!!

hi nancy...thanks for the prayers for us all here....the worst is over and man it looks like a war zone out there with all the branches down and leaves off the branches!!!! we didn't lose power but alot have and it will be about a week or so before restred...seems our extra workers are all in texas helping there....

we had high winds for a few hours then rain to beat the band..michael was very happy when i got home safely from a shopping trip....then later more heavy rain and wind but nothing that serious ....you are closer to the lake and in the "snow belt" so you will get more than me usually....

glad that you are ok margo!!! was wondering if you had it bad there....we had a little rain but not much far as i know...unless it rained while i slept...glad rick moved my car or it would be damaged again!!!! i can hardly wiat for the crappy snow to get here...lol

We also had extremely high winds here in southern Indiana.   And massive power outages in lots of places.  Fortunately, ours here at the house was only off for a few hours, and we only had some limbs down.   Considering I have lots of large tress behind the house, this was lucky.  My son, who lives 10 miles south of us had a large oak tree split.   The restaurant, even though it is just across the lake from us, is on a different power grid, didn't have electri****il late last night.   So my son had to shut down for the rest of the day.   Still better than a lot of folks are today in other areas.  It sounds much worse in Kentucky.

glad that you are safe also!! this wicked weather is just the pits!!! doesn't your son have generator back up?  haven't heard about kentucky yet...will have to listen to news and see...

Living in Columbus we also had the bad winds.  I was out in it running around gathering the shingles that were flying off my house.  I really think this morning was the worst though.  All of the stop lights are out (at major intersections) and the cops are no where to be found.  I went out to get me a cup of coffee and with all the traffic and road closures my coffee was practically cold when I got home. 

What a mess.

glad to hear you are ok!!! i had bandit out and noticed the garage had some shingles missing from it...what a mess out in the yard here....we have all our power in our neighborhood so thats good...have a wire down across the street but not a power line...must be cable or phone not sure....yes you are right...WHAT A MESS!!!!

Judy, I am so glad that things are basically good for you. I am so glad that your car was moved~can you imagine the insurance company getting another claim? Wouldn't they be a happy group? NOT! You are lucky that you just got a bit of rain. It is finally sunny here today. The first look at Mr. Sun that we have had in probably a week. It feels more like a month.

Thank God that you and yours are safe and pray that soon things will be back to normal for this country weather wise.
