One I like and find impressive is "The Cooler" with William Macy and James Baldwin.  Really, really good.

What's one you like?

I like another one with William Macy called "Fargo"...and being from Wisconsin....they sure had the accents down for Minnesota and Wisconsin. I also liked "The Cooler".

My "coming of age" as a woman was "American Dreamer" still love that movie.

Lately, the best movie I have seen is "Tell No One"...[it had subtitles, but was very very good]

We liked Fargo so much we named our dog Fargo. LOL DH's family sounds JUST LIKE those folk.

We just saw "Burn After Reading" which I liked a lot.

My favorite? Gosh...so many: Con Air, Being John Malkovich, Lord of War, Something about Mary, Finding Nemo, Meet the Parents (Fockers, less so), The Hustler (the original), Cool Hand Luke, Citizen Kane, Carrie, American Beauty, to name a few off my head.

My all time favorite would be the original "An Affair to Remember".  I also loved "A Beautiful Mind".  Of course "Gone With the Wind" and Withering Heights are wonderful classics.

Hi Nancy

I like comedies as life is just so darned complicated sometimes.  My favorites are "My Blue Heaven" with Steve Martin and "Moonstruck" with Cher and Nicholas Cage.  I especially like Moonstruck as it reminds me of my own Italian family.

I have so many "favorites"... but, in the past few years one that comes on TV and we watch  over and over is Hidalgo...  Have NO idea why but it pulls me in .  If it is on while flipping channels we stop and watch it.

Another is the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy.  I remember reading the books and found the movies to be every bit as good.

Yes, I also like "Moonstruck."  I thought Cher did an incredible acting job and she's so gorgeous.

I always get a kick out of stumbling upon a movie I knew nothing about, never heard of, and have no idea what it might be about, and it turns out to be fabulous.  For instance:

The Grifters
The Matador
The Whole Wide World
Cosi (SO funny)
The Twelve Chairs, an old Mel Brooks movie most people have never heard of
The Frisco Kid

I don't get out to the movies much, and would like to see some of the new ones out now, like Burn After Reading, Righteous Kill, and The Women.  But some of my all time favorites are The Birdcage with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane, On Golden Pond with Hepburn and the two Fondas, Rosemary's Baby, and Annie Hall.

I wouldn't say this is my all time favorite movie... but it was surprisingly good. Martian Child with John Cusack.
