My DIL, Kim, is doing the three-day walk in November.

Those gals have to collect $2,200 in order to even be able to walk.  If they don't meet the mark they can't walk but all donations will go to breast cancer.  Well, she is more committed to this than anything I've seen her committed to other than my son and the kids.  She's walking faithfully with her team.....right now, I think they are up to 14 miles a day.  She'll be walking 20 a day for 3 days.  So far, she's raised within $500 of her goal.  I hadn't written her a check yet (bad MIL, bad MIL) because quite honestly, I didn't think she'd do it.  But it looks like she's on her way!!!

She told me that she'll wear a ribbon for any of my friends who have survived breast cancer.  So, if you let me know, I'll be passing it on and you'll be walking with Kim in her efforts.  You can help me cheer her on.

Darn, I'm proud of her.

Hi Janet,   Gotta write in Pink for the Cause!   I know this isn't what you asked, but.....   I'd like to sponsor Kim for a very small amount and ask that she wear a ribbon for my DIL's best friend.   She fought breast cancer valiently and lost the battle two years ago at the age of 35, leaving a husband and five children under 12 years of age.  So, if Kim would wear a ribbon in honor of Michelle, I'd consider it a personal favor.   Please let me know how I can contribute in Kim's name.

Jan,

Kim will be delighted to wear a ribbon for your DIL's best friend, Michelle.

I went to one of her emails to me and found this:

Want to donate to my Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk??  Click here  http://08.the3day.org/goto/kimcooper

She'll be most appreciative. She has certainly taken this seriously.

I'm proud of her too! Could you tell her to please wear a ribbon for me? I'm a survivor! Thanks Janet!
