OT: We survived Hurricane Hannah and Tropical Storm Clara. . . .

Both storms blew in last Thursday and took over our little two bedroom apartment for 3 days! Erin the "owner" of the two took a well deserved 24 hour break heading out of town to meet up with her college roomies for a ball game and some "girl" time.  WE survived. . . .barely! By the time she got home we all but had them packed and waiting in the driveway! Not hardly! We loved every minute of it but man oh man were we exhausted. Our arms have been sore this week. Like lifting 15 lbs "wiggle weights!" Plus, so many things going on in the construction phase right now. Lots of decisions to make, most of them fun but they take time and that I just don't have much of. So. . . just wanted to let you all know that I am alive, stop by briefly to try to read a bit, but rarely find time to post more than a word or two. Maybe next week! You all have a good weekend. Hope those in Ike's way are somewhere safe. TerriT, thinking about you expecially.  Karen M are you out there? Aren't you from the Houston area?   Gotta run, Hugs to you all.

I always heard there was a reason that God made it so women our age can't have children and you are proof! I know that is so much fun having them but that is the fun part of being a grandma~their little butt**** the door and you are given a reprieve! I can't wait to find out how much fun it is. Just over 6 months and I am going to find out. Then I get to see their little butt hit the door and take a deep breath and be grateful! But I still can't wait for it to happen.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Grands, great having them visit, and great having them return to their homes!  I know how tiring it is when Ethan visits, I can't imagine having two at once.  Oh, yea, we did that a couple of weeks ago, (had Gabe and Ethan together) but then daughter and SIL were here to help.
