I am wondering if I need to take my chewable vitamins and calcium with me to the hospital.  I ordered them but was given no information about what, if anything, I would be given  while I am in the hospital .  I called the bariatric center but haven't heard back yet. Any advice???  Sandra

Sandra,
Take them along and tell the people during admissions you have them. Good luck! See you on the losers bench.

I got prescriptions for everything I need at my discharge. They will give you what you need at the hospital.

Everyone is different but I didn't take vitamins with me to the hospital, just figured they would take care of everything. I didn't get any vitamins there at the hospital either but they took care of all other meds (and in most cases hospitals usually take care of all your meds). Your hospital will call before you check in and let you know; when they call, you can ask if you should bring vitamins with you.

My doctor said not to take any vitamins until after 2 weeks he only wanted me to take clear liquids. Chewable vitamins can damage the new pouch he said
