It's Friday Here - What's new?
Say, can anyone start this thread?
I have a very busy two days ahead of me.
I am working until 6:15 AM. Go to part time job, pick up check. Go to bank to deposit. Get home, hopefully by 7:30. Sleep until 1:30. Get up, go to gym. I have to leave my home by 5:30PM to go to a dinner one hour and 15 minutes away (family thing). Should be able to leave there about 9PM or so. Have to be to work at 12:30 AM for 4 hours. Get home about 5:15, have to be at granddaughter's birthday party at 10AM (she lives 45 minutes away, so that means getting up by 8:45AM). 1:30PM we have our nephew's birthday dinner. Then my wife wants to go to the movie - Bangkok Dangerous, and it is right across the street from the dinner, starting at 3PM. Then on to the gym. By the time I get home, I should be able to sleep.
Y'all have a great day!

Good morning to you dear brother George. Yes, anyone can start the thread in the morning and it is a nice change to see you doing it. You certainly sound like a very busy guy. Do you ever get just some plain George time? Just wondering...........
I got up about 3 hours ago since I slept for a couple of hours and now I can't sleep anymore. I will probably get tired about the time when it is time for everyone to be up. That is pretty much the story of my life. I can be a bit backwards from other people. Oh well, what is a girl to do?
Nothing much planned today. It is nice to have a few days of this for a change. Usually it is go here and there and do this and that. For the past few days it is just stay home and do what I want and I could get use to this really easy.
I was sitting here and just kind of surfing the net and Bill got up and turned on the air conditioner. I am now sitting here freezing. He told me that he was so hot he couldn't stand it. I guess it is easier to warm up than it is to cool off so I can't complain. There was plenty of times in the past that he was cold and I was so hot I could set fire to something. So now I guess it is payback. But wow it sure is cold. My feet feel like ice cubes. lol
It is hard to believe that today is Friday. It seems like this week has flown by. I am not sure why though. I wonder why it is that some weeks fly by and others just do nothing but drag. I guess it must have something to do with your activity during the week. Mine has been so nice the past few days doing what I want to instead of what I HAVE to do.
Better get going. I am sending lots of love and plenty of big old hugs to go around to all my loved OFF family. Prayers and special prayers are going up through the day for everyone. I am so glad that God knows who needs the special ones. I am so forgetful it is a wonder I can remember who the heck I am. Have a blessed day and remember that today is the day that the Lord has made~let us rejoice and be glad in it.

People don't understand this, but I have been married 34 years and have rarely taken George time. Because, if she ain't happy, I ain't happy. And not because she would make me unhappy, but rather because I feel it is my job to make her happy.
Once, I bowled in a league that was at a bowling alley right near my work. Since we lived 20 miles away, it was not feasable to go get her and come back to bowl. So, I bowled in a 20 week league and felt guilty most of the time because it was time I could have been spending with her. And now that she has Parkinson's Disease, it makes that time even worse, because it was when she was healthy that I could have spent more time with her.
We do some things that are for me, but it is her suggestion, not mine. We go to 50 Texas Rangers games a year. I love baseball and live less than 15 minutes from the Ballpark. My wife does volunteer work for the Rangers so we do not have to pay for parking. So, I guess you could count that as George time.

In this world where there are so many people that are so evil it is great to see a man that treats his wife like he is suppose to. It says in the Bible that the man is suppose to do this. I know i have one of these kinds of men too George and i dont know if your wife tells you how great you are , I tell mine at least once a day ..but if she doesnt or forgets too. Let me tell you that you are one great dude man. take care of her you wont have her forever and your crown in heaven will be huge. Just felt like i had to give you your props this morning . Good guys dont finish last they always finish first....

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
Definitely enjoy yourself.
Mary is quite good about telling me how much I mean to her. We both have a rule. No phone call, or no departure (going to work, store etc) happens without the words I love you ending them. If anything were to ever happen and we were apart we want the survivor to know that was the last thing ever said to them. We've felt this way from day one.

George, I have say that I agree whole hearted with Jan. You are really a husband in the true sense of the word. There should be more husbands like you. I know that Mary appreciates you and all that you do for her. Just as I know that you appreciate her also. The crown that you wear in heaven is going to be one of the best and brightest ones there was ever made. I totally agree with you when you say that your ending words should be I love you. I know that Bill and I end each conversation with those same words. One of us always says that. I think that the baseball games count as George time. I think that is wonderful too that you so much things together. Some day when one of you is left without the other you will have all those memories and that is what life is suppose to be~about making the memories of a lifetime. I wish that others could have the wonderful relationships that we all share with our spouses. The world would be so much a happier and content place to live.
George you are truly one in a million.....I am sure Mary
thanks God everyday for you and your love and kindness.
My late hubby in our early marriage was all about himself, but as years went by he changed.....nope, I didn't do a thing to make that happen except maybe waiting on him
hand and foot.....in his last years when he was very sick
and as he could, he did everything to make my life a joy.
Funny, isn't it that's the time I remember the most and
cherish that time I had with him before he went to heaven.
You're a good man and a wonderful husband, George.
May God continue to bless you and your lovely wife with
many wonderful years together.

Done! Your Ticker:
George, I love baseball too but don't get to many games anymore because it's too hard to walk around and sit in the seats. So I get the baseball package on cable. I'm a big White Sox fan and watch as many games as I can, but have to record them because I work at night ... but then I also watch other games too ... a lot of West Coast games when I come home at night. It's cool that your wife volunteers for the Rangers.
Good morning George and all,
It is nice to wake up and see the thread started.
George - when do you get some SLEEP???
Brenda - Tom and I have a running AC battle which has gone on for years. I used to be so hot and cranked the A****il Tom swore he could see his breath. Now I don't even want a fan running. I agree that it is easier to warm up than to get cool.
With Fall weather upon us, I decided to dig out warmer clothes and put the Summer ones away. It is time to shop for clothes again. I must have worn nothing but baggy last year - everything is too big. Coldwater Creek is one of my favorites. I think I'll mosey over to that site and spend some time and $$$$.
Kisses
