Better late than never!! I got really ill at work around 11 yes, even soiled myself...nice huh? I have spent the last 24 hours running to the bathroom, and trying not to mess up anything on the way.
I have no particular plans to eat anything today, and if I do,it will most likely be chicken soup.
...so talk amongst yourselves.

Yuck, it's not nice when you have to run, literally. I hope you don't have to spend too much time in the bathroom today. I got a fill two weeks ago and all of a sudden it's gone real tight on me. Even what I've eaten today makes me miserable for about an hour. Having trouble getting liquids down because they trap air and I can't seem to burp them out. They are amused at me at work because I'm always slamming my chest trying to burp myself. Maybe it's the barometric pressure??
B - Pure Protein Bar
L - 2/3 of Wendy's chili with cheese
S - yogurt with blueberries
D - Pot Roast, zucchini
S - Think I'll skip it. I've been getting acid reflux too at night waking me up. Nothing after 7 p.m. for me thanks.
Hope everything "runs" its course soon.

That happened to me after my last fill. For 2 weeks I was fine - I thought it was the perfect fill - then suddenly, wham! Almost too tight to even do water, acid reflux day and night. I had a small unfill on Monday and feel a lot better.
I had asked Dr. Curry about this phenomenon (on the lap-band forum) and he said he often sees fills take 1-2 weeks to kick in.
My band gets tighter when I'm stressed or suffering from allergies (the post-nasal drip into my stomach does me in), but I guess that last fill was just too much.
I just want to say: don't let it go too long like this. A band that is too tight is more likely to slip or erode, and the few times my band has been too tight, I haven't lost much if any weight because I was doing too many soft/liquid calories.

Thanks for letting me know that I'm not alone. I had this happen two fills ago and then I had an unfill. I really don't want to go before my next appt. on Oct. 22nd. I have been gaining so I think I'm just going to cut back what I'm eating. Thanks for the warning about too much soft food. I'll be careful. My doc said the same thing about slippage and erosion if I'm too tight. I do need to have lots of restriction to keep me from eating too much. I think part of my problem is I've been reverting to old habits and eating too fast. I'll let you know how I'm doing and if I decide to go get an unfill.

At the nut yesterday I found that I lost another 5# totalling 30#! That's a wow for me. No one at work has said anything till yesterday when someone I don't see very often said "I like how you're wearing your hair now..looks nice on you"...I haven't changed anything with my hair. I wear scrubs and lab coat everyday to work so that may be hiding my wt loss. I did notice I'm rolling the waist band of my scrub pants again..just went to a size down a few wks ago. Now I have to roll the waist band over to keep them up....they sag otherwise. A good thing..no complaints here.
Made some chili today...was low 50's this AM and thought it would taste good today and it is.

I am still so new to this .. my calories seem so low... between about 750ish most days.. protein between 80 and 90 grams
B - 1/2 c protein shake
s - 1/2 cup NF refried beans
L - 2 oz canned chicken with lite mayo
S - 1/2 c greek yogurt
D - 1/2 cup protein shake
S - maybe 1/2 c pudding
I am having constipation issues... so no cheese for a while.
I would appreciate any comments.

Linda is usually quick to respond but isn't quite up to par today. I'll take a stab at a response.
Fo such a Newbie, you are getting in a great amount of protein. Thumbs up to that.
You didn't mention how much liquid you are consuming??? Lack of fluid can cause constipation for some people.
If it continues to be an issue, call your surgeon or dietician for advice. They vary greatly with instructions for us. It is best to do what your OWN says to do.
