Congrats on making your decision.  I chose lap band and never once wavered from that, even when everyone I attended my seminar with changed their minds to go with RNY.  We each have to do what we think is best for us.  Good for you for having some peace now about the decision.

I just wanted to tell you I am so sorry for your loss.  I lost a dear pet as well some years back, and it was a tough decision to make.  I just know that deciding to let your friend go is a self-less thing, and one done out of love for him.  I'm sure you will meet up again one day, and it will be a joyous time for you both.

Thanks for your words of comforat and encouragement. I am happy -sad today. I am so releved that my PCP has signed off on the surgery. I guess the reason I was having so much doubts about the surgery was because it was just the wrong surgery for me. I have no bad feelings at all about this lap band surgery. I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders. Again---Thank you.
