It is going to happen!
Good Morning,
I had my first visit with my surgeon yesterday and it went great. I get my weight loss surgery in 4 months. I have decided that I am going with the lapband and my surgeon called my PCP and she approved it! What a relief. I had been thinking about the lapband for a while and the more they talked about it yesterday, I knew I would change my mind. It just felt right. This week has started off so good. Saturday was so hard but my best friend is at peace now, I really miss him.

Good luck with your decision, it must be a relief to have finally settled on what you would like to do, now it's just a matter of time and preparing yourself mentally for your new life.

Nancy, congratulations on your date that your new and great life is going to begin. The time is going to go so fast your eyes are going to spin. I know that for a fact. lol
As for your loss of your friend, I send my condolences. I know just how you feel having lost a dear friend 11 years ago. My prayers go up for you for God to keep you in the healing circle of His arms and grant to you peace, understanding and healing.

Good for you! It's great to make a decision and get a date.
Don't be surprised to continue grieving for the loss of your pet. I did for months ... it wasn't constant crying or anything like that, but a feeling of loss, like something was missing in my life, which there was. It takes awhile. Hang in there, it does get better.
