Ok, so it's a quarter to 8 here in Michigan and no one except Joyce S. has posted......wake up wake up!!!!

Yesterday was work and gosh my cart was loaded with
new pd files...so I have lots to do there. Had a foot Dr.
appt. in the afternoon to get nails cut....we talked a little about the neuropathy in my feet some of which is caused
by my low vitamin D levels. The surgeons office called last Friday and told me to re-start 1,000 i.u. of vitamin D until further notice....guess I need to get out in the sun more!

Today I'm showered, dressed and have stripped my bed
and have a load of undies in the washer as well. Then off to the dentist for my checkup......golly, it's "the doctor" week I guess. Would like to get new top dentures as
mine are about 25 yrs old, but I asked my DIL who works at the dentist office how much? $895.00 Yikes!

Also need to get new tires on the van this morning after I get back to town....and need to make an appt. to get it serviced before we head out next week. So much prep
to go on a trip, huh?

Put a post on the Michigan board about the new support
group and haven't had one single response.....need to go
down to the local paper and see if they will put an article in for me....may wait until after vacation to do that.

Gotta run now.....have a great day all!
Good luck HarmonyRose on your surgery tomorrow.

Good Morning and Great Day, It's 4AM and I'm wide awake so thought I'd check in.  Status quo here with sleep and tummy troubles.  But had a wonderful meeting with the remarkable women in the Real Love group last night.  Although we all reported challenges, the unconditional love we share lifts and supports us all.  We've been together for three years now as the bonds continue to strengthen and grow.   Words cannot express my gratitute...for them and for you.   I hope y'all are experiencing life from a higher vibration.  Here's the weekly affirmation from Paul Hoffman at Success Songs.  Much love, Linda

Giving Thanks and Gratitude

Stop and take a moment today and go within and connect with your heart. In this moment start by Giving Thanks and Gratitude for who you are. Let yourself be free of any limited beliefs and thoughts that communicate to you any thing other than the magnificence and excellence that you are. Congratulate yourself for a job well done up to this point in your life. Tell yourself that any twists and turns that you have experienced  which you may have labeled good or bad have really been blessings and opportunities for the growth and transformation that has taken you to this point on your journey in life. Feel the presence of the inner spirit of your soul that calls out to you to express all the greatness you are. Allow the tremendous force of good that is rushing through you to guide you to greater and greater yet to be's. Give yourself a celebratory pat on the back for a job well done and begin the best day of the rest of your life

LIFE is such a blessing. There are so many things to be grateful for. The air we breathe, the food we eat, the shelter that surrounds us, the friends and family that love us, the water we drink, and YOU. Today there is an opportunity to create an awareness within you that has never occurred before. Today there is a choice you can make to step into the creativity and brilliance of your beingness and give that to all the things you do with so much joy and enthusiasm that it will virtually become impossible for you to not achieve any and everything you decide you want to do. When you start by Giving Thanks and Gratitude for all you have then you foster a essence of infinite possibility that directs itself to you. It has been said that when we are grateful for the gift that we are we give our gift without strings attached and it is received in the spirit of love. Go out today with an attitude of gratitude and follow your inner divine calling with confidence and conviction to create a world that works for everyone. I give thanks and am grateful for who you are and as you read this know you are in my heart.

"To be grateful is to be loving in every area of your life as you appreciate all that you have in your life especially YOU."

Today I give thanks for all I have
I AM blessed to be me
All good flows my way
I see abundance choosing me as it's partner
I know that LIFE supports my journey
I have an attitude of gratitude printed on my heart
I AM happy, joyous and free

It's your day...MAKE IT A GREAT ONE!

Ok I'm back. I see Pat R is the only one awake so far ...lol Must be a sleeping in day for a bunch of OFF'rs.
Well wouldn't you know it , just when I think I might be mending and going to get back to "normal" something else would put a fly in the ointment.... yup I have a humdinger of a sty in my left eye, upper lid toward the inner corner... not only does it hurt like the devil but now it's so swollen my eye is about half closed. So I'm not going anywhere today, except to sit in my recliner with a hot pack on my eye and a cold pack on my neck... crap.
It's "crafts day" at the library today and I'll miss going to it , but I told them not to expect me this week anyway because of my surgery. Yesterday was the welcome back reception at the museum I surprised everyone by showing up... didn't do anything except sit and visit which was wonderful for my spirit..... gosh the hugs and well wishes were so much better than any medication.
The weatherman says we have a cold front coming thru this evening - our highs will be in the 60's and low's in the 40's..... I love this time of year. Makes me want to put on a pot of vegetable beef barley soup or chili , or maybe some bean soup .
I have knitting and quilting to get done but won't work on anything like that till I get this sty cleared up.... dang it. The storm that went thru here ( Hannah) really did some damage to my tomato plants so now I have a big batch of green ones ripening in the house ....
I guess I'd best stop rambling and go get dressed..... see you all later.

HI Joyce!

It's great to see you doing so well after your surgery.  I'm sorry about the sty in the eye but that will pass.

Nothing much new going on for me.  I'm just going through the motions of day-to-day living.  Busy at work.  Busy with hubby as he's been sick the last two days.  Not sure why but it will pass I'm sure.  It's time to schedule all the doctor visits again.  They seem to be needed every 3 months or so these days.

I'm trying to get my work schedule cleared enough to be able to get away for a few days up the California coast.  I want to see more ocean after seeing Jan S. and Peg in Red this weekend on the beach!  It's end of fiscal year for the government so it seems like a nice time to take a break.  I had six weeks off for my surgery in June and July but that wasn't for fun.  I wish we had some fall foliage here in Southern California but must remember it's a desert!  The central coast is so beautiful with craggy coastline, quaint towns, and a place called the Apple Farm in San Luis Obisbo.  The Apple Farm has a working mill and beautifully appointed rooms complete with fireplaces.  We'll see about it because it's very popular in the fall.

Take care and have a great Tuesday.

Hugs,

Kathi

Kathi,  Sorry Hubby's been sick.   Hope he's on the mend now.   When you get to the Appletree Inn in San Luis & open your suitcase, you may be suprised to see me jump out!  If it's a big suitcase, I might just fit!    I love this area.   On summer evenings, they have a street fair on thurs nites which is fun, don't know if it extends into fall.   So many places to go in that area - I just love Avila Pier (the old, old pier, not a touristy thing).    Sounds like so much fun & you both deserve it!

Good morning Joyce and Family!
A quick on/off, back at work today, and busy as you might expect after being off yesterday and all last week.  Darn Gustav and his mandatory "vacation" (as my boss calls it).  Some vacation, I can do without another of those for a loooong time.  All coworker faired well with Gustav, thank God.  Better get back to work before Dr. Grumpy arrives.  I'm sure I'll catch h3ll for being off yesterday with car trouble.  Some of us do not have the luxury of coming in at 9:30 - 10:00, going home for lunch from 11:30 - 1:30, and leaving at 4:00 so that we can take care of personal business.  I've already got a major headache, so the old fart better not give me any trouble.

Good morning, Joyce and the rest of my beloved OFF family. I hope that today treats you the way you should be treated~with nothing but happiness and wonderful things happening in your life.

Today is one that is going to be spent at home doing the rest of this pick up stuff that needs to be finished. I have just a bit of things to either pitch or find a home for. Oh how I wish that I could find a home for everything and it isn't in my home. lol

I do have to go into the church this morning to get my alter flowers from Sunday. I looked at them and thought that they were so pretty and never even remembered that they were mine. I was going to get them tonight when I go to the Ad Council meeting but then thought better of it. I know that I have so much to carry with the meeting already and the added stuff with 2 vases of flowers are going to be just to much for me to take care of. I only have 2 arms and I just don't want to make several trips. I would rather make a second trip to the church. It is worth the gas to me. lol

Misty is watching out the patio door and basking in the sun that is shinning through the door. She loves the sun and the fact that the door is open. Her friend from down the way a few doors was over to see her yesterday morning and I told her when she got up. I told her that her friend was over to visit while she was napping. He or she (not sure just what sex it is) hasn't been back since. I guess they let it back in because is started raining just a while after it left here. I don't think that they let it out a lot because usually when it is out it comes to visit it's friend Misty. I guess it is her only friend if I look at it that way. lol

I better get going. I have to get ready and get my shower to go get the flowers. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are going up for everyone. Special ones are going up for those in need of them. Have a wonderful and blessed day all! You deserve all the blessings that you get. And I know that is going to many!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.
