Newbie here!
Hi everyone...
I just found this message board and happy to see there's a place for us people over 50 to post and talk and whatever. I'm really excited as I have a surgery date of September 25th... YEAH!... just a little over 2 weeks from now. I'm kinda nervous but really really excited all at the same time.

Welcome to the OFF board, you're sure to get a lot of support from the folks who post on here and it's hard to believe that almost a year has gone by since I became a bench warmer (Loser's Bench), but it is a very exciting time leading up to the big day, I liken it to a roller coaster ride, thrills and fears and anticipation of what will be. . . hang in there and and hang out on here, any questions you have, post away!
Best wishes for your upcoming big day, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Laura, first off welcome to our "home away from home" and congratulations on the beginning of your new and wonderful life. You are going to be experiencing so much and it is all wonderful. Some may be life altering and some may be just normal everyday stuff. But they are all just the wonderful and the most wonderful part of my life.
Please post often so we can get to know each other. Know that what you are going through is probably something that at least one of us have gone through.
