Hi Dear OFF Friends, I actually have some time at home and to myself so I thought I'd pop in here and say hello. I am ok today, trying to eat even though I have no appetite. I talked to Carla K this am she is ok, waiting to see if and how the next storm will impact them.

Good afternoon Jan and OFF Family
Wow, what a busy day. Oh, yes, I'm home - took the day off to deal with my car. I think I mentioned the rear driver's side wheel locked up before Gustav. I'm working harder than if I had been at work. Had my car towed to a repair shop near here. The mechanic called with a quote, not bad, and it should be ready sometime this afternoon. My neighbor is off today, and she'll be able to take me to pick it up a little later. YEAH, I'll have wheels again. Not that I need anything or need to go anywhere, but I'm lost without my car. Let's see, so far I've completely torn apart both beds, washed the sheets and matress pad covers, and had another set of sheets from sleeping in the living room (while we had no electricity and dragged the matress downstairs), also washed a load of towels and dark clothes, and two shower curtain liners. Then there was the cooking - eggplant with a little bacon, chicken alfredo, and braised beef. Washed up all the dishes... No wonder I'm tired.
Tomorrow I face the music at work for having taken today off - oh well.
Debbie
