I am wondering

I feel like I am eating plenty, but when I track my foods, I find that I am doing well to get in 600 calories.  I am beginning to think that I am in starvation mode.  I keep reading that we should aim for 1000 calories.  That is per my booklet from the nutritionist.  And I am falling short.

My weight loss has been very slow over the past couple of weeks.  1/2 pound up - 1 pound down, then up 2 pounds - that sort of thing.  I am getting frustrated... I am 4 weeks out this Thursday - go to the doctor on Wednesday for the first fill.

Help!  How can I get more calories in and put my body back into losing mode???  And I know age, heighth, medications, can all play a big part in weight loss... along with enough sleep.

Shelia.....make sure your diet is consistantly mostly protein. Eating a little more does help to jump start us sometimes. You need to get in enough calories......remember water is also one of the most important things we need. It flushes out the system....gets rid of the toxins!! Changing your routine or the things we eat is just what we need. Don't get in a rut!!!

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*  Classic Mistake #1.... watching the scale for weight loss.......   I bet your size is constantly changing.  I had bloating and water retention..... weight stall  then nothing fit... hmmm  I lost size...   then the scale showed the change.     Remember your body just underwent a major change.  And it takes time.....   Take Heart.... we've all been there.   Millie

Sheila, you are doing just fine everyone gets a little discouraged off and on, all good weight loss takes time. I didn't cheat one time the first year, NO ice cream or birthday cake on grand kids birthdays etc. I give all who are scheduled for surgery a infant spoon and a 3 minuet egg timer. To this day I still put my fork or spoon down after each bite and have ate off a saucer. I always have ice water by my chair and sip all day. Eating more pro tine and less carbs and calories is something I watch too. I do after 6+ years have ice Creon and some candy once in awhile. Life can only get better, healthier and make you a self confident person not to mention a happier person....
