I'm on the bench...

Hi OFFers.
I am officially now on the loser's bench.  I had my surgery Thursday and got home yesterday around 3 pm.  It took my dr an extra hour in surgery to remove the scar tissue from my intestine resulting from my c-section 29 years ago.  He also found another hernia which he said we will deal with later.  He also discovered that I have Atrial Fibrillation.  My heart rate went up to 150 durning surgery.  The cardiologists now has me on a med to lower my heart rate and blood pressure.   I came home with my drain which is a pain in the butt!  I should get this out this week.

I'm doing well and not having problems getting in my protein but am still working on getting in all my water.  I've been up walking when I can but need to start getting up more often.  The only place I really hurt is that upper left incision.  Thank goodness for loritab!!!

Thanks to all of you for your support, good thoughts and prayers.  I could not have done this without you!

Hugs! Donna L (finding_me) - I just know I'm here somewhere...

Welcome home, Donna, and most of all welcome to the loser's bench. It is a comfy place to sit and bring your cup so we can sip and share. That is our wonderful secret sharing place that the outside world isn't welcome to come in to.

I am so glad that everything went good for you. I do agree that the drains are a pain in the bee hind!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Congratulations, Donna - happy to have you here on the loser's bench.    Keep up the sipping and the walking.  It's a good thing they found the atrial fib & will take appropiate measures.  This is such an exciting time - keep following the Doc's instructions & hang with us as much as possible.  HUGS!

Donna, thank you for sharing, and welcome to the loswers bench. I enjoy you in "What's Eating Us". Your early experience is as valuable as any of ours, I love remembering the early days, and as you can see, there is food after WLS.
