What's new Sunday???

I guess I am the first one to start this.  It is 3 am and I can't sleep again.
The last few days have been kind of an emotional termoil for me.
My daughter has been having some medical problems.  She was supposed to have surgery to have a couple cysts removed from her ovary.  Her Dr. did a blood test and it came back abnormal so she wants my daughter to go see aspecialist in Omaha and have the surgery there.  Being the mom I worry .  She goes to the new Dr. on Wed. and if it okay we will leave for Washington DC and then West Virginia on Thursday via Amrtrak.   It will me a mom and daughter vacation.
The day we get back I have an appt. to get another fill.
I bought a pair of blue jeans.....one without an elastic waist........they have an acutal zipper in them.  I wore them to work on Friday and one of my coworkers said I have never seen you in blue jeans.  We have worked together for 17 years.  I guess that was my wow moment.   I just realized that I don't have a jacket or a winter coat that fits me so will have to do more shopping
I still have a ways to go with my weight loss and it is coming up to my first year anniversary.  It seems like it is coming off real slow now.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Good Morning Barb and all of OFF dom!
Barb, I understand from our lap band nurse at our hospital that the weight loss is slower but she said that often times the second year is when you see more loss, so just keep at it lady!  Sure hope all is ok with your daughter too.  How worrisome, they are always still our kids aren't they?
My big news I posted seperately, so not much else to report.  It's raining out right now, and we need it. Guess who's car windows are wide open?  yep.  I'm not running out there right this second to roll them up either.  LOL!
I am planning a lazy day today.  I finished up a basket yesterday at guild and may do some weaving or beading today.  I think it's about time for a Debbie Day!
That's all my news that isn't, you all have a great Sunday!

Oh my gosh, Debbie, I never leave my car windows open EVER! (Sort of like- I never lay on a hotel bedspread- but that's another story.) I used to leave my car windows open once in a while, until a big tomcat decided to make my backseat a deposit spot if you know what I mean. That was years ago, and I have a different car now, but I never left my windows open again unless I was in the car. You should have smelled what that cat did to my seats. I love all animals EXCEPT for that Tomcat that annointed my car seats!

Good morning Barb and Co.

Sorry you're having trouble sleeping.  We never stop worrying about these kids of ours, do we? I'll keep you daughter in my prayers.  Pants without elastic is an amazing thing, indeed,.....and a big WOWWWWWW

Debbie, you're one amazing woman!!!!  I think we should all start contracting you to help us with our around the house projects!!  We know you're dependable, experienced, and I'm sure there's no  "butt crack" to be seen   LOL

Well girls, I'm worried about my Gary.  Two weeks ago he had a spot of cellulitis on his leg. The doc put him on antibiotics which lead to a yeast infection. Doc sent him to a dermatologist who cultured it and it's staff. So, two powerful antibiotics, one for 30 days.  Now he has thrush The poor guy is miserable and I can't do a thing about it.  He went into the doc again yesterday and they gave him an Rx for a mouthwash, but today it's not better, maybe even worse.  Are we seeing a hospital admission on the horizion?  Anyone have knowledge/experience with this sort of thing?  Of course, all I think about is the staff  infections I had with my ankle, but his problem is more the yeast thing.  Yes, he's taking acdipholous (sp)...not in yogurt, the capsules with a billion active cultures in them.

Oh Lordy, what a mess!

I did go for a nice 2.3 mile walk along the AR river yesterday. It was glorious.  Might do it again today, too!

Love and hugs to all

Susan

Good morning Barb and OFFers,

I know you are worried about your daughter. Special healing thoughts and prayers for both of you.. Your vacation sounds like a good time and lots of fun.

Im the wee hours of the morning I sat at the kitchen table quietly sipping coffee and reading. Annie decided the best seat in the house was the top of my head. She wiggled, squirmed and finally draped her body on me. She only weighs about 7 pounds but a cat on the head is not at all comfy. I put her on my lap several times but she kept climbing back up. She must have thought my brain was cold. Now she is sleeping on the kitty hammock above my computer. Much better place in my opinion.

I have lined up two special meetings for my WLS support groups and asked for RSVP's. One is a PA from the fittness center and the other is a skin care specialist who has offered to do 8 make-overs.The RSVP's for the PA were good but not overwhelming. The responses for the make-overs have been pouring in FAST. Makes me think I need to work on health awareness a bit more?

Janet,

I never gave Annies weight a second thought because she is one of the smallish ones.DUH !!!! No wonder my belly keeps falling apart.

Guess you want me to put away my whips, chains and trapeze for a while too? (just kidding)

Thanks for the reminder.
Kisses

Annette,

Keep the whips, chains and trapeze out..... the bustier will hold the hernias in.
