So happy to hear you are safe and back to normal!  Now, be ready for Ike!  He sounds even worse than Gustav.  We only had a  few branches in our yard from Hanna, and we were so ready for more!  But I'm glad we were spared the ordeal you went through!

I have been waiting to hear "The Adventures of George and Debbie" and I am so thankful that it had a good ending. I am glad that you and yours (family and friends alike) fared well during this one. I hope and pray that the others go right over or around you and that things stay normal for you. I am keeping you all lifted in prayer during church too. I have you on prayer concerns and I know that God will continue to bless all of you.

Living life as Amish is a bit nerve racking at times but look at it as a vacation to right around my area. You may have only been about an hour and a half away from me and real close to Pat R. But then again you are probably thinking a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. I can't blame you for that one.

I am so glad that life is getting back to normal and I pray that God continues to bless all of you always and especially during this terrible season. I am sending love and hugs to you, Debbie.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Debbie,

I am glad to hear that Gustav was not so bad, but I hope you still have the hatches battened down.  Ike looks like a bad boy!  We will keep an eye on him and hope he goes some place else, but stay alert.  Sending prayers and hugs.
