Ola!! Happy Sunday!! I wanted to tell how my illness lead me on a mad grocery spree! I had 2 days of being extremely upset, the grands, the daughter, work, my trying to help with the grands. Anyways, I went shopping at Frys on Friday night and bought a BUNCH of crap, I do not know why except for the HALT thing I am supposed to remember. Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired (HALT).
Thank God, I did not eat it, and it is in the deep freeze at Olivia's for the next holiday. I thought of it as Fat Girl's Porn. I am happy I did not eat it!
B-Bacon and Eggs L-Baked Turkey Breast, Broc with drizzled Cheese on top. D-Smart One's anything..LOL.
S- Fruit Salad and Cottage Cheese.
I am so happy I also bought the right things, and that the other things looked so wrong, like I had bought crack, or something!

Oh Linda, you are too funny......when I go to the store to shop and come away without any bad "stuff" in my cart, I feel like I have really accomplished something.....hurrah!

I have a tuna/pasta casserole in the oven baking.....I used
just 3 oz. whole wheat pasta, lots of tuna (water packed),
onion, and healthy request (low fat/low sodium) cream of
chicken soup. I figure it will make six servings at 121 calories, 10.5 gm. of protein, and only 2.1 gm. of fat.

I will have some sliced tomato with it for lunch.

For breakfast I had an egg beater omlette and couldn't eat it all.....will probably have thin sliced turkey or cottage cheese/jello mix for supper.

Have a wonderful day, girl!

Linda,

At least you're aware of the evils lurking in the grocery store, and have stashed the stuff you got where it's hard to get at.

Yesterday morning I was on my way out of the house to go to aerobics class when the phone rang.  It was the nurse at Mom's assisted living facility.  Mom had had some (not a lot, but some) heart attack symptoms, so the nurse sent her to the hospital in an ambulance.  After 4 hrs in the ER, tests didn't indicate a heart attack, but her X-ray "suggested" pneumonia, so the doc admitted her to the hospital to get IV antibiotics.  Mom seemed OK to me (just confused, as always).  I went to see her this morning after church.  She was eating lunch and quite chirpy.  On the big memo board in her room, someone had written: Today's Goals:  "Cough and Deep Breathe, Stay Oriented, Drink Plenty of Fluids."  Mom asked me to explain them about 12 times.  "Stay Oriented" was the tough one.   I said, "It's easier said than done, isn't it?"  She gave me a big smile, bless her heart.

B:  peanut butter chocolate protein shake w/ 1/2 banana
S:  iced decaf latte
L:  1 oz steak
S:  3 oz light yogurt
D:  2 oz crab & cilantro salad, maybe 2 oz edamame & corn salad if I can get it down
S:  4 oz SF rice pudding

Good afternoon, our sweet Linda. I am home from church and the meeting of the bazaar committee and most important~coffee hour with cheese! YES! Can't forget the much loved cheese.

I have to leave in a few minutes to get Trudy (Bill's cousin) and go to the grocery. We are going to Wal Mart and I am going to get just a few things. Nothing much that I can think of. Just some and I am not planning on any junk. Food or otherwise. I have pitching around here and most of the junk is gone.

B: 6os. milk with meds and cheese at coffee hour
L: 4os. NSA strawberry Blue Bunny yogurt
D: not sure but with veggies
S: Slim Fast low carb chocolate shake

Today is a good day. I am happy, Bill is happy and Misty is happy too. So all is good in my little home. I hope that the same goes for your's. Have a blessed day and know that you are loved. Hugs and love along with special prayers are being sent your way. Have a wonderful and joy filled day.

Hiya Miss Brenda,it is wonderful to hear that everyone is happy, for such is His promise.
Things are ok here. I am trying to chill out and not feel fear (daughter losing job), aggravation, or frustration.
I hope you are enjoying your day, Olivia is here, so I am gonna close.
Be blessed...not stressed.

Linda,
I love the 'fat girls pron' analogy!  That is all too true.  Hope you get things straightened out and that you get to feeling better.

Hugs! Donna L (finding_me) - I just know I'm here somewhere...
